Pioneer's 60-inch KURO PDP-LX6090 plasma gets unboxed
Just in case you didn't get a close enough look at Pioneer's next-gen KUROs earlier this year, the folks over at CNET UK managed to bring home a 60-inch PDP-LX6090 and snap a few pics. As expected, onlookers were thoroughly wowed after ripping it from the box and firing it up, with a tag line dubbing it "big, black and beautiful." See what they mean in the read link below.

Sony TG3E: world's smallest 1080i camcorder unboxed, sized-up with 720p champ
Get a load of what just arrived at the doorstep of our European HQ -- the world's smallest 1080i camcorder, Sony's TG3E. Otherwise known as the TG1 in the US, this pup is small and sturdy and definitely looks the part of a Full HD (as it's defined for camcorders) 1080i shooter. Hell, Sony somehow managed to turn that boxy design into something sexy to hold. However, Sanyo's 720p Xacti DMX-HD700 (in red) still trumps the TG3E in size and weight. Unfortunately, it gives up significant lines of resolution in the process and uses inferior materials to boot. We'll be back later with a full review of this pup as soon as we find a nice, tropical island which can pamper this beast in the luxury a $900 camcorder deserves. So until then, check the gallery over at Classic and call out in the comments with any questions you'd like us to tackle.
Alienware Hangar18:HD Media Server unboxed
We've leered at Alienware's Hangar18:HD Media Server before, but with it finally available -- via custom installer channels only -- we can imagine it finding a place in our own media closet. Until thats the case, check out an unboxing of the unsurprisingly grey, sturdy beast, CableCard slots, hot swappable HDDs and Blu-ray drive splayed open for the world to see.
Samsung BD-UP5000 gets unboxed

Samsung's BD-UP5000 showed up at our door today for a proper review and just like we love to do, we're bringing the unboxing experience to you in advanced of the full review. We'll be running this thing through the ringer in the next few weeks, but our early impressions are good -- despite the lack of next-gen audio codec support. If you have any tests you'd like performed, now's your chance to be heard, otherwise hold tight while we play work diligently.

VUDU set-top-box gets proper unboxing
We know, the VUDU set-top-box has been covered up and down around here, and while you've already taken a look at the thing from all angles, there's just nothing like a proper unboxing on the world's unofficial unboxing day. All done with your presents? Hop on over to the read link and check out Mr. Zatz cracking open one of his own.
Toshiba HD-A20 HD DVD unboxing
Toshiba's latest HD DVD player, the HD-A20, is hitting the streets and we were lucky enough to get one to review and snapped these pictures of the unboxing. You can expect a review to follow, just as soon as we get done watching a few HD DVD movies.Apple TV unboxing
We wrangled ourselves an Apple TV, and have gratuitously documented the unboxing process for your entertainment pleasure -- seriously, lots of photos. (Hey, what else you got going on to liven things up on a Thursday morning?) Obviously, the packaging and device are a sterling example of Apple minimalism, all the way down to the complete lack of video cables, which sucks for oodles of hapless buyers who are going to discover the absence of such just in time to make a whole 'nother trip to the electronics store. Stay tuned for some interface walkthroughs and various other tomfoolery once we can find ourselves a cable or two that won't look out of place sticking out of Stevie J's latest.
LG's BH100 Super Multi Player unboxed
Well this is more like it. After waiting forever between the initial announcement and first retail availability of the first wave of HD disc devices, LG's BH100 really rocketed to the shelves, and has just participated in its first unboxing (that we've heard of) mere weeks after the announcement at CES. We're a little disconcerted by that big front-and-center dent on the box, but the unit itself looks just dandy, and gadgetaholic promises a full review in the coming days. But that's not what you're here for, you just wanted to see this little guy ripped from his Styrofoam cocoon and flap his little Red and Blue wings, so hit the read link for the whole event. Fly, BH100, fly.
