HDTV Listings for April 15, 2006

The Ten CommandmentsWhat we're watching: It's a slooow Saturday for HD, but at least the real The Ten Commandments is back in action tonight at 7 on ABC. Of course this sets up a Jim Caviezel as Jesus/Charlton Heston as Moses showdown at 9 p.m. as The Passion of the Christ spreads 1080i blessings, we're sure you'll make the right choice.

We've had a few requests to add channels to our daily listings, it looks like Starz, Cinemax and HDNet are favorites, any other requests?

Update: It looks like one of the 10 commandments wasn't to accurately label your Saturday night movies, because at least on my local station it is 4x3 and very much not HD. Doesn't this fall under coveting your neighbors Xbox 360 or something?

What we're watching: Once again, you have the choice between a program about a man divinely chosen as a leader for his people, and The Ten Commandments on ABC. One has the guy who was in Heist, while The Unit features an assassinated ex-President who sells car insurance. We'll call it a push.

Don't forget, tonight is the night for the NBA's dual-skycam broadcast of a game between the Spurs and Supersonics so be sure to check that out. There's also some new series on WB, Pepper Dennis is about a spunky female reporter etc. etc., it might be worth a look at 9 p.m.

The Ten CommandmentsWhat we're watching: At 9 p.m. you have a choice to make of great spiritual significance. You can either watch an epic tale of a man on a mission from God, or you can watch The Ten Commandments on ABC. Pending any instructions given to us by a burning plasma TV, we'll probably go with Jack Bauer.

Besides, didn't somebody already make a movie based on the 10 heavily-emphasized suggestions?
