CES: Sanyo's 55 and 65-inch HDTVs

Sanyo is debuting their newest line of micro-displays based on LCD technology. They, of course, have all the normal stats of 720p with HDMI interface. The sets have built-in ATSC tuners and everything is placed in a slim bezel. Nothing special here.

But wait, is there more? The lamp that back-lights the LCD panel is a 150-watt bulb that has a 10,000 hour life. Wow. Lets hope more companies are going to show off sets that include a long life bulb. Most LCD/DLPs currently on the market have 4,000-6,000 lamp so lets make the math easy and say these new Sanyo's have twice the lamp life. Now that is special.
