Apr 2nd 2008 11:12AM This list really isn't complete I think - Dark Sector, for example, supports the DualShock3 on PS3 (so says my PS3, my copy of Dark Sector and my imported DualShock3).
Also, notably absent from this list is Call of Duty 4! Come on Infinity Ward, get with the "so last gen"!
Paramount and Universal to publish films on Blu-ray {Engadget HD}
Feb 19th 2008 12:25PM Paramount, when they dropped Blu-ray for HD-DVD, cancelled all their announced releases at the time (Jack Ryan Collection, Blades of Glory, etc). No reason to think they won't do the same this time. I doubt very much we'll see any of those Paramount or Dreamworks titles actually released en masse.

Jan 16th 2008 4:13PM Yes, it will erase the new apps from your Touch and it will be a plain, vanilla 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 installation.
Also, it MAY be possible to eventually downgrade the baseband on the iPhone and get a working phone again, but ONLY if the development community manages to get the secpack for the 1.1.3 baseband and ONLY if you have a bootloader 3.9 equipped phone.
The secpack is required to get the baseband flash to erase itself.
Previous to 1.1.3, extracting the secpack has been reasonably trivial. Unfortunately, with 1.1.3, according to the development community Apple has "done a really good job this time" with protecting the secpack and there is some doubt it will ever be extracted properly.

Of couerse, they're hacked... but I'd like to see a legit launch at some point. We'd love to 'go legit' so we can get out of the 'you can't have the latest version because you're a dirty unlocker' trap.

Jan 2nd 2008 2:10PM To be clear, there is no evidence at all that any 360 with HD-DVD exists or ever will. Microsoft has constantly stated that HD-DVD is an unproven technology and that they don't want to sell customer 'the next beta'. They favor HD-DVD over Blu-ray but openly admit that it is:
a) Not the standard.
b) Not likely to be the standard in the face of Blu-ray's sales lead.
Seattle Times simply said "they could make a splash" by announcing such a product, but there is nothing to suggest this is anything other than just random talk.
Hell, Microsoft "could" announce that the 360 now runs PS3 games and has a new Wii compatible motion sensitive controller, but that's not very likely either...

Universal and the HD-DVD PG spin is just as wacky as the BDA's.
BD still outsold HD-DVD that week overall 61/39.

Dec 24th 2007 1:09PM FYI: Future Shop also has the Samsung BD-P1400 Blu-ray player on for $399CDN until I believe the 30th or the 31st of december. Pretty good deal for a true 1080p player with DTS-HD and TrueHD.
