PSP Go owners make Final Fantasy VII the top PSN seller for October {Joystiq}
Nov 6th 2009 9:23AM Of course, you do realize that if FFVII were offered on either the Wii or 360 it would be the top selling downloadable on those platforms too? Love it or hate it, FFVII is iconic and much beloved as a game by others.

Eh Sonny? Some of us jes remember the days when a little box art wert t'only thing purdy. Before these new fangled MP3's and AAC's records wert mighty fine t'look at on a self.
Well and besides that, I generally have the box on my coffee table or computer desk while I'm playing the game. It's not the end of the world to have ugly cover art, but I appreciate it when they've taken the time to make it look good. Or at least have taken the time to make the art not look bad.
Braid coming to PS3 next week, November 12 {Joystiq}
Nov 4th 2009 1:53PM "I bought the game before everyone started clamoring over it!"
Do you like indie rock too bro? Sucks when a band sells out and becomes successful. It's called the early adopter tax and the practice sometimes applies to games as well. You got to enjoy Braid 15 months or more before I did, so suck it up buttercup.*
*Besides, the article says nothing about it being anything other than a late port, so your ego is safe.
WoW 'rejected' in China, government at odds with itself over decision {Joystiq}

Godly, Godless, we all have the potential to be judgmental, interfering, shitheads. But taking away a WoW addict's access? Jihaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!

Nov 3rd 2009 10:11AM @Uncontrol: "wes what the fuck are you eight years old or something?"
I'd say he's honest. No one posts on a game blog after all without a little bit of obsession on the topic. And if he got himself off that MMPORG addiction then he's better off than 90% of addicts of any stripe.
You don't have to be a carebear to avoid being a dick UC.
250GB PS3 spotted in Best Buy backroom, making trouble {Engadget}
Nov 1st 2009 9:53AM Well, it's more that while you can paint your Wii black it won't look as good.* However, Sony's openness and HD accessibility means that changes in capacity are meaningless except to the proles. Still, if it's a slow news day youse takes what youse can get.
*Of course, you could be a badass painter and make it look better. But in general, it'll look worse.
Banned PSN player appeals court decision, sues Sony again for $180k {Joystiq}
Oct 27th 2009 2:52PM @vidguy "While the law must respect private property rights, as it has with private malls in the long-history of First Amendment law, it must balance against the de facto lack of other appropriate outlets for free speech."
Well, that presumes that anyone currently has the power to completely disconnect a user from this public forum. Say he's with Comcast and he violates the TOS so they ban him. He can then make due with a Satellite provider, cell phone provider, or any number of other solutions which cost more. There are also a number of public terminals in various locales. Unless there is collusion between every single provider, no one can completely cut this jackass off from the internet.
So with that basis, I can't say that killing his connection to a service (PSN) that is not his by right does not even touch on moral grounds. Even if we're narrowing his "right" to a forum to gaming venues (PSN, XBL, etc) he can get a PC and be on a forum which has NO central authority.
I get what you're saying, but I don't think we're dealing with a slippery slope here. Sony had the ability to ban him from the PSN, not silence his presence on the Internet or affect his ability to seek legal recourse for his banishment. They didn't and can't, brick his console out of spite. He can use the parts of the console that don't cost Sony money to maintain.

No, no, no. There are rules to this conversation. Someone posts about their economy car; someone else posts how their big rig could eat the economy car for breakfast; then someone else makes disparaging comments about penis size; and the conversation degenerates until someone invokes Hitler.
Your reasonable reply has thrown everything out of whack. This isn't 'nam man, there are rules!
