Level 3 delivering end to end uncompressed video from Broncos home games {Engadget HD}
Oct 13th 2009 6:59PM When you're applying compression to a signal, starting with something that is less compressed will end up looking better than something that started off more compressed. So if the network is compressing a 1.5Gbps signal for delivery to the affilitates, it's going to look better than if they're compressing the current 270Mbps signal, even though the final bitrate will be unchanged.

Microsoft's Project Pink finally bearing fruit in 2010 with two self-branded phones? {Engadget}
Sep 19th 2009 11:34PM Now that the iPhone is on version 3, people forget the many years of rumors leading up to the announcement in 2007. Although there were a ton of incorrect rumors, the one thing that they all had in common was APPLE IS BUILDING A PHONE. With the sheer amount of Project Pink rumors that have been floating around, and the complete lack of information on WinMo 7 aside from the Chassis 1 specs, I have no trouble believing that Project Pink is real and that Microsoft will be releasing it next year.

Sep 13th 2009 7:38PM Hey dipshit, they also correctly "guessed" the new color and layout of the PCB next to the camera too. The picture was legit, the iPod Touch was supposed to have a camera at one point. Get over it.

AT&T rolling out MMS to iPhone on September 25, tethering 'in the future' {Engadget}

Sprint follows T-Mobile's lead, wants $350 for HTC Touch Pro2 {Engadget}
Aug 31st 2009 3:09PM I assume it's a "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" situation.
NFL to let Cowboys giant HD scoreboard stay as-is, at least for 2009 {Engadget}
Aug 30th 2009 7:45PM But with U2's situation, the screen will be disconnected, and it will be lowered back down after the concert. It would be more expensive to raise the screen and have it be operational.
