Apr 29th 2009 8:44AM Though most chips do have virtualization support now, the capability is sometimes disabled. Case in point: my Sony VGN-FW290 laptop, which contains an Intel P8600 with VT-x. However, Sony in their infinite wisdom disabled and does not allow to be enabled in the BIOS.
Perhaps Sony will see fit to release a BIOS update for Windows 7 to enable VT-x. Heh - see I made a joke there.
