hhgregg accepting Circuit City gift cards, some strings attached {Engadget HD}

Nov 20th 2008 12:19AM I work at an hhgregg, and we haven't seen any among the 11 stores in my region yet.

Sherwood's BDP-6003 Blu-ray player hands-on {Engadget HD}

Sep 5th 2008 4:02PM What else do you expect from Sherwood besides fugly components that are way over-priced?

Will the digital changeover make people put away the rabbit ears? Probably not {Engadget HD}

Jan 19th 2008 10:30PM I work at a mid-size CE retailer, and OTA antennas are hotter than ever. We sell probably 5 a day where 2 years ago we probably sold 1 a week.

DTV has done wonders for the OTA marketplace. Where we used to carry 3 models of antennas, we now carry 11. ELEVEN.

To Granny Down East, it's probably not your antenna, it's probably the station. Here in Indianapolis, all of our local stations broadcast digitally, but even with our pretty powerful, amplified antenna at the store, we can hardly get one station. It's because some stations that are already broadcasting digitally are not doing so at full power yet.

Mar 9th 2007 2:26AM "That is a very neat camera.
I wonder which colors come with and how much it cost?"

The Z75 comes in black and pink, and the Z1050 comes in black and blue (AFAIK).

We've had them at my store (HH Gregg) for about a week now, and they're quite popular.

The beginning of the end for analog TV {Engadget}

Mar 6th 2007 2:05AM To answer some Q's:

It's not a switchover to HD, it's a switch to digital. There's a diff.

You tv will need an ATSC tuner to receive and display digital signals.

Despite what Engadget says, most tv's produced in the last year have ATSC tuners, even the old tube models. Hell, even Broksonic TVs have digital tuners.
