Jun 26th 2009 5:06PM Im kinda surprised they are fragmenting their devices with the zune service launching on xbox360 which will be 1080p. They must have crazy amounts of storage if they can keep 480p,720p and 1080p files of each movie.

Jun 20th 2009 11:53PM This wasnt even 1.03.... For a 1.0 product vs a 3.0 product Id say thats comparing very well. WebOS is already the superior OS its just a matter of time until they make updates to the OS take the speed crown back.

Jun 19th 2009 6:48PM I really want to get one but for as much as its likely going to cost it needs to do things beyond just music and movie playing. It needs an app and games store.
I was also hoping the zune/xbox sync rumors pre e3 were going to happen where all xbla games automatically were playable on both devices. That would have been awesome and is still possible but unlikely now imo.

Jun 19th 2009 5:50PM So there will be an extra cost to have a copy of the movie beyond paying a premium for a bluray? That is not going to convince anybody to stop pirating movies if you have to pay for managed copies.
If they dont want this to fail from day 1 they better allow people to copy just the movie and the main audio track free of charge for any move you purchase. Or start pricing blurays at 9.99 and getting people who want managed copy for an extra charge.

Jun 15th 2009 11:51AM Dont you have to "download" 1 vs 100 each time you want to play? This could be a way to let you download it once a year and be able to play. And it could then appear in your games library.

Jun 15th 2009 12:01AM and every single one of those people you listed doesnt give a crap about bluray or even have a hdtv set yet nor do they plan to. THAT is why bluray and digital distro will never match dvd. I also find it a bit funny that people you cite blurays portability when there are very few portable devices out there in the market. apple has the ipod touch/iphone and ms will have the zunehd for their mobile side. it really is funny when bluray has resorted to giving you digital copies with the discs because they know how poor their portable devices are.
I fully do expect bluray to be around for a very long time but I also expect within the next 5-10 yrs more movies will be sold and viewed online that through physical media. thats what most blu fans fail to consider imo.
