Review: Californication - Glass Houses {TV Squad}
Nov 4th 2009 1:20PM "They are vapid, whiny and annoying. In other words, they are perfect Californians."
ha ha ha ha.... douche. Oh, I'm sorry, should I have said, "Whoa, man, like dude, what's your problem, brah?"

The Swaze was great - a sad day for Hollywood.
Nic Cage Uses 9/11 To Explain 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' {Cinematical}
Sep 11th 2009 9:47PM Geez, the guy tries to say that the tragedy of 9/11 has influenced him to pay more attention to the important things in his life and people call it "goofy" and "a misappropriated example." Call me crazy, but I say good for him on deciding to do something better because of it. Would you rather he said "meh" and carried on about his normal routine?

The Best Superhero Movie of ALL TIME Tournament! Round #1! {Cinematical}
Jul 29th 2009 3:59PM Yes, I know that seeding in tournaments is supposed to be low vs high, but in tournaments you are supposed to have the best quality teams as a group competing, having already eliminated the teams that are actually bad. In the scenario we have here, there is absolutely no chance of a darkhorse team making it to the top.
This is like putting the 2008 Lions vs. the Steelers, not like the Giants vs Tampa in the Wild Card round in 2007, where the Giants were supposed to get killed, and were considered lucky just to make it to the playoffs, but ended up going all the way to thd Super Bowl, which itself was a major upset.

Star Wars was the first ever Comic-Con panel televised, but was it good TV? {TV Squad}
Jul 28th 2009 1:44PM The reason it was boring is not because it didn't translate well, but because people keep vainly hoping that something exciting will come out of the Star Wars universe, but all that can be expected now is just money-scraping retreads of previous material.
When there is content and engagement, the panels are awesome fun and would definately be worth watching on television. DC had a number of good panels this year for their books, and a number of the television panels also had great enthusiasm.
Unfortunately, a number of the 'bigger' panels were indeed just corporate PR, and the attendees can smell a rat and don't play along.
The Best Superhero Movie of ALL TIME Tournament! Round #1! {Cinematical}
Jul 28th 2009 1:01AM It was much too easy for almost all the films to move forward. The only brackets that offered more than a milli-second pause to consider which to pick were Hulk/Daredevil and TMNT/Batman Forever.
Superman II vs. Blankman? Batman Begins vs. Crow: City of Angels?? Seriously???
Hope the next series has better match-ups. Let's see some brackets that get blood flowing in the comments!
Venture Brothers creators accept cult following - Comic-Con Report {TV Squad}
Jul 27th 2009 1:44PM The writer wasn't kidding! My wife and I were going to go to this panel until we saw that the line far exceeded the room's capacity at 3 pm (the panel wasn't even scheduled until 6 pm) and half the room was already full of people that were going to stay for the VB panel. We missed the Boondock Saints panel because of this, too, because that panel was in the same room that the VB one was to be in. Oh well...
