Warner delivering Academy screeners on Blu-ray, starting with Batman {Engadget HD}

Sep 28th 2008 12:28PM Why cant the whole film be "full widescreen"?

Any film in letterbox/2.35:1 is not 1080p in my opinion, unless you count black bars of course.

iPhone gets tweaked Safari in firmware 2.2 {Engadget}

Sep 28th 2008 7:20AM I really want copy and paste, I really dont understand how anyone wouldnt use it, I use it daily on my laptop and desktop..............

You know there are two really sad things going on here.....

1.We are talking about copy/paste like it is some Mecca of function, holding it up as the holy grail, some amazing breakthrough in tech.. Its really not, which makes it all the more painful that its not in the iphone............

2.How many of us have contacted Apple with these points about copy/paste? Are we just coming on here and forums and bitching about it, hoping some Apple dude will read through all the bitching about who is dateless/a looser/not getting laid.......to come across a gem of wisdom he/she or Apple had not thought of about copy/paste?

How about we ALL email/contact Apple at the same time, on mass, to try and get at least an answer as to why copy/paste is not a "priority"......................

Oh and I am pretty sure every single one of us knew the iphone had no copy/paste function.........and still paid for it.

I think that sends the clearest message to Apple.

Vodafone, O2 to launch the XPERIA X1 in UK and Germany {Engadget}

Sep 11th 2008 5:50AM I waited a long time for this phone and would have plumped down a fair bit of cash for it, thing is, it looked cool 10 months ago.

I also dont trust Win Mo6.1 as far as I could throw a tiger.

All the HTC devices using the touch flow are clunky as hell, I know its WinMo's fault and not HTC. Like look at any of the vids on youtube of the touch diamond and its a joke. They swipe and about a scond later the phone responds, and when it does the animation is jerky.

If I am wrong then please someone post a link to a video where its all smooth........

Anyway I have no faith that the xperia wont be just the same, just with a SE interface.

BT plans 100Mbps UK broadband service by 2012, Gigabit speeds possible {Engadget}

Jul 15th 2008 6:10AM I know people with a 100Mb fibre line in the UK (in Ebbsfleet) and they get the full 100Mb down, for something like £65 a month.

All this "Up to" crap is the fault of the infrastructure, but of course they should make it clear that you wont get what the line can take in theory, that theory being you are the only person on the entire internet and the wind blowing in the right direction.

FTTH will get rid of a lot of that crap.
