I can't vouch for what occurred to you running Folding at Home, but I haven't heard anybody complain about the PS3 "bugging out" running FAH for weeks at a time. Some people have been running practically 24/7 since launch with no issues.

Maybe it came off to you as not much better than him but I disagree. I get sick and tired of people talking shit over and over about how the PS3 sucks with absolutely no basis other than the fact that they are a flaming fanboy.
Personally, I respect the 360 or Wii even if it is not my system of preference. I just don't respect some of the ignorant fanboys of those systems who come across as little kids on a playground fighting.
As far as the PS3, I think it has some great games coming down the pike and E3 should be a great showcase for many of them. Fanboys of either side of the equation need to remember that the PS3 has only been out less than a year. The 360's best title(Gears of War) did not come out until after the system had been out a year.
The PS3 looks like it will have several titles that are on par or eclipse Gears when the PS3 reaches its one year anniversary this fall. Granted this may be an opinion by me but it is also shared by many outside of this site. Check out Neogaf or other various gaming sites outside of Joystiq and you will see what I am referring to.

Have you ever seen people in their 50's and 60's get on a PC. Yea, it usually isn't pretty.
Many people have stated that they think HD-DVD will become more popular because of the fact that it is easier to remember(when it comes to the name) which might be true, but I think HD-DVD will lead to much more confusion.
I personally like the name Blu-Ray and I think many people will see Blu-Ray and if they don't know what it is, they will research into it before buying a Blu-Ray DVD.

If you already had a 360 that works fine, what the hell is the point in going out and buying the new elite for 500? Even if I was a 360 fanboy(which I am not), the old 360 and new one are going to play games exactly the same except you will have a little more storage space.
If you had an IQ as you boast about, clearly you would have thought that instead of paying 500(plus the 399 you already paid for your premium 360 at launch) for a console you already own, you could have a 360 and a PS3 so that you can play games that will not come to the 360.
I have a launch ps2 but just because the slimline ps2 came out, I am not going to buy the same console just because it is slimmer and might have one or two new features. That to me is just plain stupid.

and that is where the PS2 and PSP come into play...
The PS2 is still selling well and PSP looks like it is going to pick up some steam with it's price drop and some more good games right around the bin. This should hold off many of the casual gamers until the PS3 can a first price drop or even a second price drop several years down the road.
Even the wii's sales don't dwindle too much on the PS3 because it is pretty cheap to buy. In a few years time when the wii has lost some of it's appeal and the PS3 is cheaper, I see many people who own a Wii buying a PS3 as well.
That's the beauty of releasing a console and sticking with it for 10 years.
