Best Buy's pushing Blu-ray to the front {Engadget HD}

Feb 12th 2008 3:46AM I work at best buy and can continue to promise what I always have... HD DVD players to everyone that wants a good upconverter. And blu-ray in about 9 months when they actually have a player worth a damn.

Blu-ray players grab 93 percent of market after Warner went Blu {Engadget}

Jan 22nd 2008 3:07PM I usually go to blu-ray.com for all of my HDM news... There are "fair and balanced." That is why I also go to Fox for my news.

Blu-ray players grab 93 percent of market after Warner went Blu {Engadget HD}

Jan 22nd 2008 2:27PM wow that is amazing!!! But did you also see that at other pointless stores across the nation the 360 is completely sold out as are Wii's?? What does that mean? Nothing! We are sold out of everything but one A35 HD DVD player at our store and they have been selling like crazy. Is that good news for HD DVD? NO... Is it bad news? NO...

Just enjoy your movies and quite trying to rationalize your purchase.

The real reason why Warner went Blu? {Engadget HD}

What he MEANS:
As soon as Blu-ray is ready for prime time.

Nielsen VideoScan High-Def market share for week ending December 16th, 2007 {Engadget HD}

Dec 28th 2007 10:10PM Currently own 160 HD DVD's and 12 Blu-rays.... They are all the same except one very important FACT:

Blu-rays menuing system is C-R-A-P... 100% total poop. HD DVD has always worked perfectly for me where-as once I start a blu-ray movie I fear seeking out the menu button because it will most certainly be an ordeal work writing on engadget about...

Face it HD DVD "IS" a better technology (which actually works for me 100% of the time!) where Blu-ray has the spec's (which mean nothing to me on paper).

Amazon offers up Buy 1 Get 1 on HD DVD flicks {Engadget HD}

Those numbers gotta be killing the blu-ray fanboys!

Best Buy offers the Toshiba HD-A2 for $100, too, and other HD DVD deals {Engadget HD}

Nov 1st 2007 5:42PM "Sad..I had hoped one of the formats would've ultimately won based purely on the format's abilities. Instead, the average consumer who doesn't know any better is going to pick the cheaper and inferior format - only because of toshiba's desperate rock-bottom prices."

REALLY? HD DVD inferior?

You mean because they have dual video and audio decoders STANDARD on all HD DVD players or because unlike blurry, HD DVD is REQUIRED to have LAN connectivity on all of its players?

Sure seems like an inferior format to me!

Lord...Must me crazy.

Panasonic goes Ikea with concept furniture for flat panels {Engadget HD}

Oct 5th 2007 3:23PM Interesting Panasonic is using an HD DVD player in that top photo. It is the HD A-1... Nice! I guess Panasonic is going HD DVD. ;)

Mitsubishi's CEDIA booth tour {Engadget HD}

Sep 8th 2007 1:49AM I was there, getting to see the Original Star Wars Episode 4 in 3-D was the highlight for me, hearing about it and seeing it are two different things, it was a THRILL, and really amazing what they did with it, now i know what Lucas was talking about, when he said how spectacular it was!
