Video: MIT develops solar storage "nirvana": energy crisis solved? {Engadget}
Aug 1st 2008 6:05AM Of course this isn't an 'invention', its basic Chemistry and its been know for hundred's of years. We were shown the processat school, age 15.
As has been said, producing Hydrogen is easy storing and transporting it is the difficulty. A compressor to liquify hydrogen costs $100K, fuel cell's cost $10,000.
Making Hydrogen simply require water, a couple of electrodes and a DC power source (solar cell or a battery).
For a MIT to talk about a 'discovery' indications he is either lying or is a complete idiot.
Lumeta's "peel & stick" solar panels can blanket a roof in under 35 minutes {Engadget}
May 12th 2008 12:25PM Oh great, 35minutes and $12,500.
I'm so excited.
Three quarters of sites will be unsuitable, of course, due to the poor surface.
So we have a solution to a problem that didn't exist (mounting to a flat roof) but no solution for the one that does (price).
Also, mounting it with better orientation towards the sun would increase efficiency by 100%. So, save $6,250 and spent a few more minutes installing normal cells.
Michael Bay singlehandedly wins the HD format war {Engadget HD}
Feb 14th 2008 1:28PM Oh, dear what a sad a pathetic collection of posters we have here. Accepting that you are a loser is a painful thing, especially when you are being told it by someone you so obviously despise. Just remember, Mr Bay was right, which makes him a smarter and more rational person than you are.

Feb 11th 2008 11:24AM The cost of these things in the UK is below $40 if you deduct the taxes so I expect them to become even cheaper. What happens with the coupon when you buy a box for less than $40??

Jan 3rd 2008 3:00PM I've done that a couple of times. Not for something as expensive as a phone, either. No biggie, as long as you don't die, a miss is as good as a mile.

The region locked titles are from Fox, Disney and sometimes Sony.
None of these are available on HD-DVD, so this hack is the only way to access region locked titles... even for HD-DVD owners.
