How would you change Apple's iPod touch 2G / nano 4G? {Engadget}

Oct 3rd 2008 6:49PM the only change I would like to see is an opening up of the platform to let 3rd parties come in and add all the function we could possibly want.

Win a Magellan Roadmate 1400 satnav and 'Baja: Edge of Control' for the Xbox 360! {Engadget}

Intel officially ships 1.6GHz dual-core Atom 330 processor {Engadget}

Sep 20th 2008 3:28PM seems like it's a good idea for a windows home server processor. The thing can be a fanless, all solid state for the server OS and then plug in a Drobo for the storage and data redundancy. It'd be an awesome combination.

Data robotics could do it with a new version of the Drobo share, now that I'd pay $200 for.

Microsoft planning La Veuve de Media Center? {Engadget HD}

Sep 18th 2008 5:24AM A media center only STB that's designed for ultra-stability isn't a bad idea. But MS needs to use it's clout to partner with Motorola or Scientific Atlanta, possibly through some sort of equity investment deal. They have partnered in the past with Echostar and that may be a good next step.

Dell's Mini 9 tear-down reveals a modders' playground {Engadget}

Sep 5th 2008 8:55AM AJ - yes, simple upgrades are a big deal b/c we were all expecting a completely closed system. By having it modular, it makes me (and many other's i'd wager) 95% more likely to try out the low end model knowing that if I am unhappy with storage, i can upgrade. It's the perfect couch laptop!

TiVo completes hat-trick of profitable quarters, then slips {Engadget HD}

Aug 28th 2008 1:01PM TiVo is in a rock and a hard place. The long term strategy for them is to try and maximize revenue with ad's and online offerings such as pay per view and eliminate the monthly fee all together. It's going to take deeper pockets and a broader product portfolio to make that happen. Someone like Microsoft, Yahoo, or Google needs to purchase TiVo and take it to the next level.

The editor-in-chief giveaway: Win Ryan Block's video games {Engadget}

Aug 24th 2008 10:50AM i'd talk to all my friends, see who has particular favs in the bunch and give them those games... the rest i would keep for guests who come over the house. I'd also keep the party games for the same reason.

The editor-in-chief giveaway: Win Ryan Block's gadgets {Engadget}

Aug 22nd 2008 10:46PM i guess i would keep most of it, but I would give away the stuff to local friends if they could use it before I sold it on ebay.
