New Lips DLC: Rihanna Fall Out of Jet {Joystiq Xbox}
Jan 23rd 2009 4:22PM Ummm, some do care. I have a family who has loved lips since they got it from me for Christmas. My daughter's favorite song right now is Thnks fr th mmrs, and she will be damned excited to be singing it.
If you are not interested, then keep on scrolling down.
As for the question about value, yes they do seem a little high for the price when compared with Rock Band (which to regain my cred I have downloaded approx 50 or 60 songs for) but they do come with the original video.

Guitar Hero World Tour DLC releases launch week {Joystiq Xbox}
Oct 9th 2008 5:31PM I am buying GH World Tour..... but I probably won't buy any DLC. I already have lots of Rock Band DLC, and I am confident that Rock Band DLC will continue to work through future iterations of the game. GHWT? I am not sure, and I am not going to spend the money in the hope that it will.
I am looking forward to GHWT, but they are lucky they made it compatible with the RB instruments, because I wouldn't have bought it at all otherwise.
Acti ponders GH World Tour DLC subscriptions {Joystiq Xbox}
Sep 17th 2008 7:05PM exactly, it is a bad idea. I buy a lot of Rock Band DLC, but I only buy the songs I like. I have probably bought a fifth of the available songs (It is actually a lot) but there are times when I buy everything in one week's release, and other times where I might go a month without getting anything.
Unless it allowed me to get everything, it would mean that on weeks where everything is good I couldn't get it all, and on weeks where nothing is good I would feel like I have to get something.
The reason that the Zune service and Rhapsody work is that they have thousands (millions?) of songs available at any one time, and you can pick a certain number of them to download each month. It wouldn't work if they had 100 songs, and released 6 new ones a month and allowed you to pick three of those each month.
New Devo and Duran Duran Rock Band DLC {Joystiq Xbox}
Aug 19th 2008 1:26PM All these songs are great, but of course I have to check the note charts on youtube first before buying. Songs can be great to listen to, but crap to play. Fingers crossed!
Rumor: Avatar customization options discovered {Joystiq Xbox}
Jul 31st 2008 10:57AM For those who are underwhelmed by the avatar change, and feel like it is a waste of time, remember that everyone isn't a hard core fanboy like us. I don't think they will be for me, although I will probably play around with them a little, but the other 5 gamers in my house (wife and 4 kids) are all very excited about the avatars, and can't wait to use them. So each to their own.
Wake Up! Rock Band 2 hitting this September [Update] {Joystiq Xbox}
Jun 30th 2008 1:08PM YES!!!! This is the way to do it. I love the way they say that the DLC I have already purchased can be played in RB2. AND the dlc they provide after RB2 is released will be playable in RB1.
That is what makes me want to keep buying DLC, I know that it won't be obsolete in a month.
As for new features, this was pretty much a feature free interview, everything was teased, and a lot more will come out during E3. I am confident. My GH World Tour envy just dropped :)
Guitar Hero: World Tour information blowout! {Joystiq Xbox}
Jun 20th 2008 1:50PM I will buy this in a heartbeat if I can buy the game and play it with my current Rock Band controllers. HOWEVER, as I am absolutely sure it will not work that way, I bet I won't be buying it at all. I refuse to have two sets of instruments in my living room, (not to mention the cost) and I won't be giving up my DLC from Rock Band.

Konami announces revolutionary Rock Band competitor, Rock Revolution {Joystiq Xbox}
May 16th 2008 11:06AM As someone who owns both Rock Band and GH 2 and 3, I love my rhythm games. But I have to say this one looks kind of cheep. It is early, but the backgrounds are uninspired (especially after Rock Band's) and the note charts look boring, and not based in the reality of the song. The drum parts especially. Anyone who has played drums in Rock Band (or listened to music) knows that drum parts are generally a string of notes in quick succession with a regular pattern, and then every now and then that pattern changes, or fills are included. The drums tracks on this looked more like easy bass tracks.
The drum kit looks nice though, although there is only room for one drum kit in my home at a time, and so if it isn't compatible with Rock Band, it won't be there. Harmonix has won me over with their passion and non-stop DLC! :)
