Aug 20th 2008 2:27PM OK, I've been to several of the "i." enabled Weblogs, Inc. sites (i.engadget.com, i.tuaw.com, i.luxist.com) and only the non-tech ones are coming up correctly.
i.luxist.com displays in the format that is described, but engadget and tuaw show up as bullet-pointed lists (more like m.engadget.com).
Sounds like some bugs are still in the system...

As others have stated, Lee/Austin had two bionic legs. Now, if you had been watching one of the all-time awful/great movies (Attack of the Killer Tomatoes), THEIR bionic man only had one bionic leg (due to budget problems).
When he ran, he just spun around in circles and when he did the bionic jump, he rocketed off at a 45-degree angle...

Mar 23rd 2007 9:02AM I'm just amazed that they've finally come up with the technology to be able to run off either US or UK sunlight. The UK always had funny looking sun to me (sort of greyish all over, no big yellow glowey thing in the sky).
As to price, over at TreeHugger they were quoting around $2500-3000 plus $500 to install it and it cools off one room. ROI isn't exactly brilliant...

CSI: Miami - Backstabbers {TV Squad}

Dec 13th 2006 2:59PM Although trying to divine the logic behind any CSI:Miami plot is impossible, I'd love to know why Peter Kinkella allows Sonya to sail off on his yacht after Horatio convinces him not to kill her?
Earlier we learn that Peter used the yacht as collateral to secure Sonya's bail. How stupid does Sonya have to be to go out sailing with obviously angry Peter (whose family she had kidnapped and threatened to kill)? How exactly was he going to kill her on a yacht filled with half a dozen crewmen (you can see them wondering about the yacht)? And, again, why does she get on Peter's yacht and sail off - unless she has her own yacht, in which case, why did Peter need to bail her out?
Of course, the sheer stupidity of the show's plots (and the awful acting) is the main reason I watch. Every character is bad: Horatio with the one-liners, head tilting and sunglass fiddling. Calleigh, whose heavily botoxed face is a perfect compliment for her wooden acting. Creepy, weepy Alexx - every dead body is her "baby". Ryan - he's actually got a good puzzled look going, perfect for his clueless, attention-craving bumbling. Eric... well, he might actually be a good actor in another show.
And then the "urchin/orphan" of the week - you really don't want the CSIs taking an interest in you, because they'll inevitably make things much worse before belatedly making it up to you. And why is there never a social services employee working around these kids? Hell, in this week's episode, days after her father's death, the orphan of the week was sitting by herself behind the counter of her dead father's bodega when Calleigh finds her. Hope she didn't get too much blood - er, "evidence" - on her shoes.
Which, of course, brings up the point of why do evidence technicians do just about every job - social worker, detective, and SWAT in addition to crime scene investigation? Horatio - the crime lab lieutenant, a desk job in any normal department - blew up the terror truck with a scoped SWAT rifle, while the rest of the SWAT team he apparently heads in his free time just sits there, for pete's sake!
And why doesn't anyone die inland? If the death doesn't take place in that one sea-side park they use from every angle (the most dangerous strip of land in America), it takes place in a beachfront home or along one of the waterways. If you can stay two blocks away from water in Miami, you're safe. Stray towards a beach and you suddenly have the life expectancy of a mayfly.
It's so god-awful you can't help but watch - if only the Mystery Science Theater crew could be along the bottom adding commentary, the show would be perfect.
