Jun 26th 2006 6:06PM Best entry level product I ever bought was my Visio P50HDM at Costco... I love it, and the only thing disapointing about it is the fact that the price has dropped $700 at Costco since I made my purchase. Vizio is top notch.

Wii: Is high-def more important then content? {Engadget HD}

May 9th 2006 1:37PM I just spent $3000 on a HD Plasma, and I have a choice between three consoles. One which will only deliver games, and the other two which might have the possibility to put that $3000 I spent on my plasma to good use.

I pick the later... after spending $3000k on a plasma, another extra $200 for an HD capable mutimedia platform is worth it.

People don't want HD consoles for the games, they want HD capability so that they have something other then a cablebox to deliver HD content. In two years Nintendo will be regretting the lack of HD support.

My Comcast DVR lets me down again {Engadget HD}

Feb 20th 2006 3:31PM I have this box, but not with iGuide, with the MSTV software. So far I only have a few problems.

The sounds sometimes is muted, haven't been able to figure that one out yet. Ususually changing the channel back and forth a few times fixes it.

DVI out sometimes doesn't sync up correctly. Again, flipping the channel fixes this.

The MSTV software is OK, except no 720p resolution or 16:9 on the guide, which makes for a clunky looking interface on your HDTV.

Also, the 120GB harddrive doesn't hold much HD content. I'd throw a 250GB in, like a did with my Tivo, but of course thats not an option with this guy.

Overall I'd give it a 7/10.
