While vainly looking for a Win 6.5 upgrade, found this official HTC 6.1 ROM Upgrade (to ver. 2.01) on Sprint that was just released Sept 26. (Way to be there HTC! :-/ )
Nonetheless, works great. Contains some nice tweaks and a discernable enhancement in speed as well.

Sep 30th 2009 1:52AM Apologies if this is redundant, but I was getting an error message when trying to install.
Turns out my previous application of OneCare Live did not uninstall completely.
This sad state of affairs can be remedied through the use of the OneCare Uninstall Clean-up Tool here:

If I had not come across this solution in the past, I most certainly would have gone mad!
BTW, OneCare cancellations are subject to a prorated refund... so the conversion is just a little bit sweeter still.

Sep 10th 2009 1:15PM I've been with Sprint over 3 years on a $50/mo SERO plan and love it.
Live in L.A. Switched from VZ and in virtually every place I can compare them, Sprint's signal strength is = or better than my more expensive former provider. The key for customer service is to call-in during normal east coast business hours. If you do, you will get a CSR in Virgina or the like. Later in the day, they switch to an off-shore phone room and the quality of the customer experience drops markedly. Bit of a pain but easily worked around.

Verizon Touch Pro's GPS unlocked -- and not by Verizon {Engadget Mobile}
Dec 23rd 2008 5:21PM My Touch Pro on lowly Sprint... has always provided real-time GPS functionality to the MS Live apps (as did my Touch before that). On the other hand, it has been "no dice" on either unit for such pleasures in Google Maps...
Anyone know what gives?
