Hands-on with the PS3 2.20 update -- and now, we wait {Engadget HD}
Mar 25th 2008 5:26AM Don't be stupid. HD DVD only had primitive scripting, not full Java.
You do know the difference right??
PS3 2.20 update is out, get your BD-Live while it's fresh {Engadget HD}
Mar 25th 2008 5:25AM Don't talk nonsense. HD DVD's features pale in comparison to what BD-J can do.
You know the difference between scripting and full Java right???
PS3 firmware 2.20 bringing BD-Live interactive Blu-ray this month {Engadget}
Mar 20th 2008 7:33AM Not ready yet?? Seriously, why do Americans always want everything now, what is it with them.
I like my products fully baked, when they are ready, not the half finished stuff other manufacturers seem to release.. (you KNOW who I mean...)
So it begins: Toshiba's HD-A3 falls to $99 at Circuit City, comes with 7 free HD DVDs {Engadget HD}
Feb 20th 2008 12:41PM I can't believe people are throwing money away on obsolete tech.
That's $80 off a PS3 in my eyes...

Feb 20th 2008 12:39PM You lot don't know gadgets from toffee...
I like how 2007 Gadget of the Year includeds the Xbox, despite it coming out in 2005, and skips the PS3 which DID come out in 2006 (at least in Europe).
Poll: What Blu-ray player will you be picking up? {Engadget HD}
Feb 20th 2008 12:34PM Bascially you are just missing DTS:MA on the PS3, aside from that, it's the perfect player in every other respect. Futureproof, price, startup time, feature set, even looks.
Personally, I can wait for DTS:MA, there is absolutly no reason to buy anything else. The the poll results indicate this.
Anyone remember the Xbox/HD DVD fanbots who told us the Blu-ray player would suck in the PS3, like the PS2 DVD player sucked. Where are they now???
Toshiba: "no plans" to adopt Blu-ray {Engadget HD}
Feb 19th 2008 6:16AM Come on, they are not going to announce Blu-ray support at the SAME conference they cull HD DVD.
They ARE working on Blu-ray, they will continue to develop a player, and when the dust has settled in a few months time, and the product(s) are closer to being ready, THEN they will announce them...
You would have to be an idiot to believe that Toshiba would confirm Blu-ray support at the HD DVD funeral.
Toshiba claims "no decision" on HD DVD strategy as desertions continue {Engadget}
Feb 18th 2008 12:10PM The sooner you give it up, the sooner you can move on and make a Blu-ray player.
Toshiba give it up already. The whole world realises it's over, apart from your it seems. It's embarrasing already...
