Lets re-cap... XBR 7 NOW has 240 Hz but will it sport that design or the same design as the XBR 8?
The ZX is going to be thin and sport LED backlighting like the XBR 8 but still 120 Hz.
XBR 7 now confirms contrast of 80,000:1 ?
The new 52" XBR 7 will have 240 BUT will the 40" & 70" XBR 7 have 240 Hz?!
XBR 8 Not thin ZX Thing.

My understand was that the player didn't support any HD Audio tracks so this firmware allows for TrueHD but via what?
Does it support DTS MA via Bitstream or PCM and didn't catch wind of it?

If you want to invest in a HTIB this isn't the way to do it.
Don't get lazy... run the wires.... Yes it makes a HUGE difference!
For 2k you can buy yourself a 606 probably, towers, pair of rears, center, and sub
If you shop online for those you'll probably have some left over for a PS3 or Panny player

Whats the deal with multi-player?! Is it just me or do you want info on how the game plays more than if it follows the movie.
We know it'll look good, COD4 engine +Check
The game plays close to actual plot +Check
No does the game have co-op? split screen? bot? any that makes it stand out from the other FPS games besides switching from 1st and 3rd?

Aug 28th 2008 4:23PM My guess is that they are hoping the 240 Hz will provide a picture that looks like 60 Hz without that film look too it. Ultimately 120 Hz created new issues and they believe the 240 Hz will take care of everything....

Aug 28th 2008 4:21PM You'll have to wait till they add 240 Hz + LED back lighting. Probably will be for Dec 2009.
