Kindle's German launch stalled by T-Mobile and Vodafone? {Engadget}

Jul 1st 2009 3:46AM O2 and E-Plus, being #3 and #4 in the German market have forced them to move into, and succeed at, wholesale business models which will be favorable to signing up to Whispernet, and HSPA is not necessary. Furthermore, T-Mobile has been rumored for well over a year to offer their own e-book. Although their has been no mention of publisher deals, I would suspect they have nothing particular to offer; content has always been an afterthought at Deutsche Telekom
That being said, I agree with the need for WiFi. I live in Germany and have NO mobile coverage at home...the most likely place I'll be downloading books from!

It can be pre-ordered on Amazon. To enhance people they also offer their own gadgets. http://www.ricavision.com/home.html

Ask Engadget HD: What's the best universal remote out there? {Engadget HD}

Jan 24th 2008 7:33AM I agree with the Pronto line.

I also have the dilema of wanting to control my HT, PS3, Slim Devices and HTPC and was curious if anyone had taken a look at the Ricavision Vave100 (www.ricavision.com)? Besides being a universal remote, MCE remote and having a bluetooth radio it also incorporates MSFT SideShow. Sounds compelling, albeit expensive. Still, has anyone had a chance to see a demo unit?

European PS3 will eschew PS2 hardware for emulation, sez Sony {Engadget}

Mar 1st 2007 4:35AM I agree, it's not the end of the world and I'm sure there's alot of PS fans out there willing to wait. I'm fed up and will not wait any longer. I purchased the 360 and I love it. Sony got themselves into this mess by mismanaging the product and by certainly not managing expectations correctly. My PS2 and games go on ebay this week...
