those are some of the worst specs i have seen in a Sony product in a long time... i really WANTED to buy this but after reading that there is no way Sony will be getting my money for this...too bad. I wasn't expecting full Home Theater quality but I was hoping for a little bit more.

You need to stop talking. You are completely misinformed. If you have a widescreen monitor 16:9 or 16:10 then....
1.85:1 movies COMPLETELY fill a 16:9 monitor, and leave a sliver of black on 16:10.
2.35:1 movies will be letterboxed, but on a widescreen monitor it won't be too bad.
1.33:1 movies will be windowboxed with large black bars on the sides, or you can stretch it. eww.
Now that you are informed you can continue to make dumb posts.

One of my favorite stories included him having talking with a few other guys when his date came up to them and she wanted to join the conversation. Quoting my favorite Bond line he shoos her away by saying... "Run along now, man talk." She was understandably furious at him.
