Dexter: Go Your Own Way {TV Squad}
Dec 4th 2008 5:03PM Do yourself a favor and:
- Stop watching Season 3 right now. Absolutely right now.
- Start watching Season 1 on DVD to see how it all started.
- Then watch Season 2 on DVD to see how it progressed.
- Then... watch Season 3 to catch up with us.
The reason why I'm recommending that you start from the beginning is because Dexter is THAT GOOD. You need to immerse yourself in the storylines and character development from the beginning to fully appreciate how good this show really is.
Don't start watching from the near-end of Season 3, because it won't let you appreciate the series. Trust me and start from Episode 1.
And welcome to the Dexter Fan Group!
Why am I still watching My Own Worst Enemy? {TV Squad}
Dec 3rd 2008 4:14PM I am still watching it. As I watch each episode, I keep wondering why NBC decided to cancel it.
It is a really good show, and gets more interesting as it goes along.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Self Made Man {TV Squad}
Dec 2nd 2008 1:10AM - Summer Glau looked great tonight. Never hotter.
- John had a great takedown on that dude at the party. About time the writers added a little combat training for him.
- Anyone know how many episodes are left this season? Thanks.
NBC dumps Chuck, Life, and Heroes (for January, for January!) {TV Squad}
Nov 26th 2008 3:10PM You bring up an excellent point:
WHY DO NETWORKS REFUSE TO SHOW RERUNS ANYMORE?
This is the easiest way for network shows to lose their valuable fans. And I think this practice started with ABC and Lost, if I remember correctly.
And networks wonder why viewers abandon good, quality shows.
NBC dumps Chuck, Life, and Heroes (for January, for January!) {TV Squad}
Nov 26th 2008 12:40PM hm... I was in the middle of writing a diatribe against ABC's recent cancellation of Dirty Sexy Money, Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone to compare against what could possibly happen with NBC's intentions to postpone these shows... and I couldn't put it together.
Why?
Because for all practical purposes, these scummy television execs are just following the money by throwing viewers more reality shows instead of good, quality network shows. Because American audiences ARE STUPIDLY FLOCKING to lame reality shows like Dancing With The Stars, American Idol, etc. etc.
If audiences give reality shows ratings... well, what's a network to do?
Life is one of the best shows on television. Chuck is one of the funniest sitcoms left. Screw Heroes (because no one dies and it's boring).
But to put on a Ryan Seacrest production for a month? Call Dr. Kevorkian.
But that's ok. I'll watch BSG while the majority of quality network dramas and sitcoms disappear. It's going to get to the point where only cable channels will have anything good anymore.

Did ABC make the wrong move with Daisies and Sexy? {TV Squad}
Nov 21st 2008 5:21PM Hm... let's see ABC's rationale here:
Shows that have creative writing:
1. Eli Stone - CANCELLED
2. Dirty Sexy Money - CANCELLED
3. Pushing Daisies - CANCELLED
Shows that are pure crap:
1. Private Practice
2. Ugly Betty
3. Pick any current ABC Reality Show
And with Lost and Greys Anatomy jumping the shark... what is ABC thinking in justifying horrible shows and cancelling the better ones?
I can't think of a reason to watch ABC anymore. Buh-bye!
Grey's Anatomy: In the Midnight Hour {TV Squad}
Nov 21st 2008 5:00PM Dammit! A double post! Argh!
You can all criticize me... I deserve it!
Sorry.
Grey's Anatomy: In the Midnight Hour {TV Squad}
Nov 21st 2008 4:58PM I think we all know that everyone is entitled to their opinion and if a particular group of fans voice their displeasure against a show's storyline, they have every right to comment on that here.
But Jessica is clearly out of line for directly criticizing another commenter for her opinion. I can say that because I too, criticized a group of fans on TvSquad (not an individual) for enjoying a poor plotline and was reminded that it was inappropriate to do so. I agreed and apologized.
Jessica shouldn't hammer someone for their thoughts (especially when it appears that the original commenter is more familiar with a hospital environment than most of us). Let's be a little more civil and not call individuals "a joke," shall we?
And to all of the people who respond to critiques of an episode by saying "Well, don't watch it then...": it is our right to watch and say what we want **about the show**. If we have to endure ridiculous writing or production decisions for our favorite shows, then we have every right to grumble about them.
And you will listen to us. Enjoy!
