Sep 11th 2008 2:05PM I agree with you on the political sentiment. I just want someone who can do the job. It's a shame that they have to present their candidates so negatively, particularly when their positions are actually quite close overall.
Parents definitely have to be responsible for their children, but in far too many cases they're no role model themselves. Even the process of picking other people to be role models is too much for them. Someone has to teach the children good values. Show the kids examples of people doing right. Steer them through their lives. That could be the parents, the church, the community, but it has to come from somewhere.
Let's just hope it isn't from the government.
