Mar 19th 2008 2:39PM No WiFi, $249.99 after a $50 mail in rebate and a 2 year contract. Current speculation is March 25th, but many people think it won't be until the middle/end of April.

Ask Engadget: What's the best console for a new gamer? {Engadget}

Feb 22nd 2008 5:42PM PS3 was my first real console. I decided to get it because I loved my PSP. The connectivity between the PSP and the PS3 is great. It's easy to set up as a media center type thing using the DLNA. All you have to do is allow sharing and voila, you can see all your videos, music, and pictures on your PS3 wirelessly. Additionally, the blu ray player is awesome, along with the DVD upconverter. Although 360 is much more popular at the moment, I believe Sony is finally stepping up to the plate and enhancing the PS3 making it more of a media center in itself. I feel that if you are interested in a gaming console, why not go with the PS3. It's got a similar game line up as the 360 and the online is completely free. I'm sorry for the rant, but I just really love my PS3 =)....Although.. when I first bought it (Dec. 07) I used it for about a month and I got tired of it. Two months later I started playing again. The last 6 months have been great, tons of new games, PSN games, and some great updates to the XMB. I think we've only seen the beginning of something great...
