Feb 17th 2007 2:46AM As a viewer, the central part of this issue is clearly the availability and ease of access to local channels. For local television stations, this is a real departure from accepted business practice. And, with all the new ways that content can be amalgamated and distributed through new devices, this sets a precedent on the relationship between content creators and those that wish to bundle and resell.
All my other issues with Sinclair Broadcast Group aside, I applaud the effort they have done on behalf of smaller broadcasters with considerably less leverage.
