Finally, a Supernatural promo worth watching {TV Squad}

Aug 25th 2009 3:48PM Yup, looks great. This season is gonna rock.

Mad Men debuts huge, but almost gets beat by a couple of Kardashians {TV Squad}

Aug 19th 2009 4:57PM I thought season 2 was pretty boring... season 1 was much more entertaining.

I am hoping more happens during season 3 because as much as I am willing to watch it for its acting and art direction/design, I agree...

Live action Star Wars begins shooting this year {TV Squad}

Aug 19th 2009 3:04PM I thought I remembered hearing Lucas say that basically, he doesn't care if the show is popular or not... he wants to complete it at (100 episodes may have been it, can't remember exactly). Thing is, the guy has enough money for it to be in a deficit and him still complete that goal.

I think it has a great opportunity to be completely awesome, I just hope to god they don't screw it up.

Gone Too Soon: Carnivàle {TV Squad}

Aug 18th 2009 1:35AM Carnivàle was in one word, amazing. Such a well planned, and executed story. It was clearly evident Knauf knew exactly where this story was headed and what he was doing.

While I'll admit the first season might have been a little slower than it needed to be, and because of this wasn't able to get quite the proper following you can tell they really fixed that with season 2 and it's such a shame HBO didn't do a better job of marketing it. As a matter of fact, I still believe that was a huge part of it.

Alas, what is quite literally one of the best TV shows ever made had a short 2 season run and didn't get the love, respect or time to tell its story.

Anyone reading this who hasn't seen it, I strongly urge you to go grab the DVDs. It's totally worth it.

Alive, The Walking Dead are far from TV's first apocalyptic tragedy {TV Squad}

Aug 14th 2009 8:01PM Jeremiah was solid. It's too bad (from what I remember reading) J. Michael Straczynski couldn't get along with MGM. Hard to say if it was MGM being stupid, or the other way around but I remember hearing him say there's no way he'd ever work with them again.

Now, just to be clear, if Darabont keeps The Walking Dead honest to its roots, I can't think of a single other TV show that has ever been made that will be quite like this.

The Walking Dead isn't so much about the usual zombie style stories of finding a cure, or what happened... it's about staying alive and how at the end of the day, you only worry about yourself. And there's death... a whole shit load of it.

If done right, as a friend of mine said, he's already scared.

AMC to bring The Walking Dead to TV {TV Squad}

Aug 12th 2009 5:28PM I think I just shit myself.

The Walking Dead is easily one of the best graphic novels I have ever read. Kirkman's portrayal of our hero in this story is down right terrifying and the story has gone places I have never seen before.

I am officially jacked for this to premiere. Do we have a rough ETA as to when it will premiere? Has the first season actually been picked up, or has just the pilot been greenlit?

Boxee secures Series B round, plans for more features and more developers {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Aug 12th 2009 12:57PM Agreed, 100%. I know the Boxee guys have given some cash to the XBMC crew, which is a great thing and like you said the relationship is certainly there it's just whether/what Boxee decides to do with it.

If I was Boxee I'd go after introducing an embedded set top (they teased us earlier this year), which could be exactly what they're doing with their millions of dollars. They just need to make their UI better... it kills it right now (imo).

Boxee secures Series B round, plans for more features and more developers {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Aug 12th 2009 12:17PM Same as most of you guys. Boxee in principal is rad, but I found their UI confusing and hard to use. Plus a lot more unstable than any experience I've had with XBMC.

I've opted for a much sexier theme for XBMC called Aeon, which you guys should check out if you haven't. It's pretty amazing and works very well.

It's hard for me to think I will ever use Boxee since the XBMC guys have been really pushing the limits on features and bug fixes. It's quickly becoming the only media center that matters.

The real reason The Unit was cancelled {TV Squad}

Aug 7th 2009 1:25PM Damn! What Ryan had in mind sounds exactly how I would have liked to see it end.

The Unit was never _amazing_ but it was a reliably interesting hour of TV. Something a lot of shows never achieve and it's shitty CBS canned it. 4 seasons in, and they can't just let us have the final!? Boo.
