Sep 3rd 2008 11:45AM Luxul's AMP's are very powerful, but with out an AP or Bridge... these will be highly unstable if not unusable. I'm sure they would be fine for browsing the internet, but watching video's will cause you get caught in constant buffering modes or get dropped connections and then have to re-authenticate to your network. If you are wanting to increase your coverage in your home network, their AMP's and Antenna's are great (but expensive) and you can connect them to any access point that has removable antenna's. That is, provided you buy the correct cable connectors for your access point. We used to use Luxul and Renasis AMP's for WiFi installations in hotels, when I used to work for LodgeNet StayOnline (http://www.stayonline.net/). If you have a spare AP or Bridge that you wanna put in there, you will definitely see a difference. If not then you'll probably get really bad signal cross talk.

On the other hand, it seems like they are using some kind of air compressor, but we never get to see it. Boo on them for telling us that it can run on car/truck/SUV exhaust. Boo!

Jun 17th 2008 2:08PM Per VLC it says the clip is 448x336 and 59fps (although that's probably just the interlace). The video is quite slow though and does look like other 300 fps camera footage seen here on Engadget.

May 27th 2008 6:49PM This is a similar idea probably taken from Ultimate Ears and it works out great. I my self have had to replace the cables on my Ultimate Ears since I used them so much and the cable started to separate at the "Y" junction. This is a whole lot better than paying another $250 for the Ultimate Ears (or $99 if you have the UE3's).

um.
- Larger screen
- Faster OS
- Video Camcorder (I know it's coming, but I want it now)
- Voice Recorder (see above)
- Better WIFI and Bluetooth Range... all while keeping the battery draw down
- An Accelerometer would be nice
- Oh, last but not least... the ability to turn down the ringer to a volume similar to the pearl... that is when ever I want to cause I might need it really loud some times, but not all the time like it is now.

The 88XX and 9XXX series are only supposed to be seperated by processor speed, storage and a camera (1.3MP). Other than this, they are both supposed to have Wifi (with UMA abilities), Media Player, GPS, Edge (Yawn...), noise/echo cancellation, etc.
I suppose this is just Cingular acting like Verizon and crippling their devices and charging the same price as a full featured device.
