Phosphor E Ink watch giveaway (part 1) {Engadget}
Dec 19th 2007 2:50PM My current timepiece is a toss between a dinged up KRZR and scratched plastic "gold" pocket watch attached to a Skagen chain that has most of its silver plating rubbed off, revealing the presumably-cheap metal it's made out of.
Kitchen Nightmares -- An early look {TV Squad}
Sep 18th 2007 11:16AM How similar is it to the British version? I love that show on BBCA and I find incredibly insightful to cooking, running a restaurant, designing a menu and Ramsay himself, much more so than you get on Hell's Kitchen. I always love the way Ramsay emphasizes all aspects of being a chef and the British version makes that much more clear. I hope the American version holds to that standard.
Review: The Black Dahlia {Cinematical}
Sep 14th 2006 2:14PM I normally don't chime in on these, but this review is a great example of why I have all but stopped reading reviews on this site. It takes four paragraphs before I even know what the film's about, and only until the very last paragraph to we even get something taht would be considered a reivew. Isn't the rule of journalism supposed to be to put everything you need to know in the first paragraph? Did I really need (or care about) the history of Brian DePalma? How hard would it be to start the review with "The Black Dhalia is one of the years' best films, and a remarkable achievement from Director Brian DePalma." The first three paragraphs should just be cut out entirely; skimming them gives the impression that this film is not very good, when in fact, the reviewer feels the complete opposite.

Jul 27th 2006 12:07PM IF you aren't a Neilsen family, what difference does it make HOW you watch it? I think it's just a not-very-clever attempt to get people to watch the ads.

Help the revolution: submit feedback {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Apr 4th 2006 12:55PM Interestingly, iTunes feedback is only for request more music in the store; I guess they think iTunes the application is perfect. D'oh. It really bugs me when I go to search my library when I've got a playlist selected and it loses the search terms when I select my entire library.
New Menuet skins available {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Feb 3rd 2006 5:06PM Is there a TUAW policy that all links MUST go to older stories about the given topic, unless no such story exists, in which case a link to the site in question is allowed?
i.e., when I clicked "menuet", I was kinda thinking, you know, I'd go to their homepage.
At least you didn't like to the "search TUAW for the term" link like some other Weblogs, Inc. weblogs do.
