Long Way Down: Through Europe and Africa by Motorcycle {Gadling}

May 10th 2007 12:02PM Long Way Round did air in the States on A&E I believe. I watched every episode and loved it.

Long Way Down has been in the rumor/planning stage for quite some time, so it's nice to see that they are finally taking off. Of course, they're not the first to do it on a bike. Check out Lois Pryce's African adventure vis motorcyle here:

Her book Lois On The Loose is also a run read as she rode her bike from Alaska to the tip of South America.

Seven Wonders of the World: Bollywood Style {Gadling}

Feb 8th 2007 5:24PM What list for the Seven Wonders of the World has either the Great Wall or The Leaning Tower of Pisa on it? Is there some new list? Because those aren't on the tradional, classic list of the Seven Wonders, which would include:

1. The Great Pyramid of Giza (Only one still standing)
2. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
3. The Statue of Zeus at Olympia
4. The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
5. The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
6. The Colossus of Rhodes
7. The Lighthouse of Alexandria

Disney World in Two Days? {Gadling}

Feb 2nd 2007 1:40PM I'll second the suggestion about the countries of Epcot. Great places to eat there as well.

However, with only two days, no way in hell you'll see everything. Sorry. Not possible. You'll be planning a return trip when you get back.

You name the iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Dec 7th 2006 10:14AM How about the iCel?

You name the iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Dec 7th 2006 9:38AM I can pretty much guarantee you that the name won't have "Mac" in the title, as they won't want to have people thinking it's a Mac only product. If they can't use iPhone, than I wouldn't be surprised if it were something like iChat, but they may come up with something completely different like iPortal (iPort) and sell it as an all in one PDA, phone, iPod device that is your "portal" for data/communications/music/etc. on the go.

Yeah, it's a stretch, but you never know! :)

Watch your TIVO from Abroad {Gadling}

Nov 7th 2006 3:41PM The Slingbox has been around for a long time now. This really isn't a new product, although they have had some recent updates to it that have improved it overall. Cool stuff though. Highly recommend it.

DIRECTV's HR20 tested and reviewed {Engadget HD}

Oct 3rd 2006 11:13AM Am I missing something or is this "review" actually a preview? The text of the article even says they haven't gotten their hands on the new DVR yet. The 7.1 rating is from USERS who actually do have it.

Universal brings out Vin Diesel's big guns via The Fast and The Furious on HD DVD {Engadget HD}

Jul 26th 2006 11:54AM Haven't they all been in 1080p so far? It's just that the current hardware can't output it in 1080p.

'Poseidon' ready to tank all over again come August {Engadget HD}

Jul 11th 2006 11:55AM Granted, the sequels performed better at the box office, despite being inferior films, but it's not like $171 million box office is performing badly. Especially when the film cost $65 million to make. It is true though that many people "discovered" the film on DVD and at one point it was the biggest selling DVD of all time. Not sure if that is still true or not. Regardless, to say that the Matrix didn't do well in the theater is just false, and to use it in a compairson with Poseidon is just plain wrong. :)

Jul 11th 2006 10:41AM Um...didn't The Matrix make like $175 million at the box office? How is that "not doing well at the theater"?
