Logos brings free Bible study tools to the iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 5th 2009 1:31PM I agree. I have used YouVersion since it first came out. I then found MantisBible and haven't looked back. The different Bible versions cost money in comparison to the free versions from YouVersion. But MantisBible has a much nicer search interface. Instead of going to the book and scrolling to the chapter and then having to scroll through the whole chapter to find the verse you are looking for, they have easily accessible buttons for each book, chapter and verse. It also has a full screen mode if you double tap the screen and you can touch and hold the corners and quickly and easily switch books, chapters and verses. It includes an auto scroll tool so you don't have to keep touching your screen and getting in the way of your reading. Also this version has a handy notes feature integrated into the bible so you just click on the verse, add a note and you are done. The App is free and comes with KJV by default. You can purchase Bibles, commentaries, maps, dictionaries, and books on their website. This feature is not yet integrated into the app. It's by far my favorite Bible app on the app store to date. Jan 19th 2009 3:13PM I'm going to have to go with Windows 7. I'm glad Microsoft decided to make the beta a public beta and have been enjoying running Windows 7 much more than Vista on my MacBook Pro.
