CBS plans first HD DVD release: Star Trek TOS {Engadget HD}

True, it's silly that someone in the Blu-ray realm has declared themselves the winner but the real story that it's really great that CBS is putting out an HD version of a classic TV show. I hope other studios follow their lead and put other classic shows out in HD.
Now, back to the HD war: I don't have a preference as to which format is better. However the fact remains that since the Playstation 3 (with a Blu-ray drive built in)is one of the hottest items out and gamers of all ages are clamering to get one, and that they've sold more than 2 million units in 3 months in the US alone , it would appear Sony has a definite advantage.
