Jun 6th 2009 11:56PM FWIW I was in the mall today (in Portland, OR) at 5pm and the Sprint store there still had several in stock. I played with it for a few minutes and it seems fine, but I'm sticking with my iPhone :-)

May 30th 2009 12:46PM I just have to comment on 2 big frustrations with GHWT: 1) the ridiculous number of "clicks" it takes to play GHWT vs RB2, and 2) the incredibly obnoxious Tool-inspired venues.
First, the number of clicks. In RB2, I press Start to play, then pick Quick Play, Local Band, pick my character, and I'm in. In GHWT, I press Start, then it tells me, for the millionth time, how to play my freakin' instrument. I acknowledge that message, then, despite the fact that I only have one data source where it could be, it asks my what data source I'd like to use. Then I can finally start go into Quick Play and so on. It may seem small, but that frustration alone has lead me to buy all of my new songs on RB2.
Second, the venues. My not-quite 3 yr-old son loves to watch us play, and when I choose Quick Play in GHWT I can't pick the venue, and about 20% of the time it picks the extremely-creepy Tool-inspired venue which shows those weird worm-heads that stare at you. It doesn't even show your avatars! Totally, totally lame, and scary to my boy.
Oh, and I'll throw in one more lame thing about GHWT while I'm at it: it only lets you sort songs by Song or Artist. RB2 has about 5 sorting options, although I think both of them need a way to add songs to a favorites list and filter your faves.

Mar 13th 2009 7:31PM Anybody recommending the SharePort function on the DIR-6xx obviously has never used it. It's total crap. Not only does it only work on Windows, it frequently didn't work, and, even when it works as designed it's not really sharing the port. It makes one computer the "owner" of the port, and if someone else wants to print they have to send a request to be the new owner, which the current owner's computer's user has to accept before it takes effect. Of course, what this means in reality is that you're hoping between computers any time you want to print. IT SUCKS.

Oct 24th 2007 11:25AM You mean to tell me that your database and programming students don't know how to add a ".removeme" extension to their files? If not, maybe that should be part of your first class session.
Also, when I took courses as far back as 3 years ago, every class could easily get a school-sponsored site where all files could be uploaded.
I think the vast majority of people would prefer that potentially-malicious code gets blocked, no matter if it's in a zip file or not.

Um... I'm just going to let that one sink in for a minute.
Also, I think some of your points are valid (Win 95 was indeed just makeup on the pig that is DOS), but I can't believe you're going to say that UAC was "completely redone". It's just a simple (and very obnoxious!) prompt that appears anytime an action that requires admin privilege is attempted.
