May 25th 2006 6:53PM I have the 27" 4:3 Slimfit HD. It's a perfect master bedroom tv - fits in the entertainment center we bought years ago perfectly. No major geometry probs that others have reported with the 30" 16:9 version. Great picture when paired with the DirecTV H-20 High Def rcvr. I watch it more than my Sony 42" LCD rptv.

May 6th 2006 7:52AM After reading about shortened bulb life on Sony Grand Wegas (older model) I purchased a spare buld from SonyStyle.com. I've had the TV for 1.5 years and am ready to change the bulb whenever it dies. TV is on for an hour or two each evening. I expect the bulb to last 3-4 years.

Mar 20th 2006 5:28PM I cannot imagine anything worse than HD Porn. Women generally look better with a softer focus. I learned this as a young man - some girls looked nicer when I took off my glasses. :-)

Feb 20th 2006 9:48PM I'm waiting for the MPEG4 DirecTV HD-DVR that's supposed to be coming this spring. I'm getting the AT-9 dish installed this week, along with a H20 receiver. I'd get the HD-TiVo, but it's MPEG2 and may not tune every new HD channel that comes down the feed.
