Mulally chooses Escape Hybrid for D.C. road trip {Autoblog}
Dec 2nd 2008 2:50PM It would be kind of funny if he got a ticket while doing the drive. His income would slip into the negative.
Rumormill: 2009 BMW Z4 rumored to debut next month, Z2 on the way {Autoblog}
Nov 26th 2008 8:23AM What's the point of offering a coupe model as well as a folding hardtop for such a small market? Especially how well the Z4 Coupe *didn't* sell? (I don't think this is a phenomenon limited to BMW either- how often does one see a Porsche Cayman?)
BusinessWeek: AAPL 'ripe for the picking' {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 24th 2008 4:39PM A friend on mine was of this opinion when she bought Apple stock recently... at $120/share. Sure, Apple is doing well right now, but that has already been factored into the purchase price (just like MSFT). Without a compelling reason to drive an uptick and an economy that thinks it's 1930 all over again it's unknown when the price will shoot back up.
Pics Aplenty: 2009 C3R Retro Corvette Stingray {Autoblog}
Nov 24th 2008 3:42PM I like the fact that the Corvette stays true to certain identifiable design aspects without resorting to going all-out retro. That would be a designer taking the easy way out rather than trying to push the envelope, and thus the evolution of the car.
That being said... I think that's a nice looking one-off.

Fisker sends Finland good Karma {Autoblog}
Nov 16th 2008 7:17AM The difference is getting a "complete" automobile. All one needs to do is take a look at the variety of different low-volume sportscar manufacturers out there to see that it is fairly easy to design a car. But to design a car that is reliable for everyday use, durable enough to last 100k+ miles, and tested to the highest safety standards is a whole different matter.
AMD's 45nm Shanghai enters production, next stops are Deneb, Istanbul {Engadget}
Nov 13th 2008 5:07AM Hopefully AMD will give it a better name than "i7". Seriously, Intel: tell the marketing group to lay off the crack.

NYT columnist calls on Steve Jobs to fix Detroit {Autoblog}
Nov 12th 2008 7:48PM I don't normally ready the NYT, but if this is the caliber of their writers then I'm obviously not missing much. An idea like this is something I would expect from a 12-year-old writing a school report, not a grown, allegedly-educated adult.
