Muse Wedding 2.0 keeps you organized {Download Squad}
Aug 26th 2008 2:48PM Sure easier than what I did for my wedding. I set up a full SugarCRM suite to track contacts, todos, dates, and everything. Wouldn't recommend it unless you're the type of ubernerd who enjoys hacking database schemas to add things like guest name, food preference, RSVP responses, thank you notes sent, etc to the contacts table.

Jul 18th 2008 3:49PM One that looks very useful is called EyePilot, that does transformations of colors through a "window frame" you drag over the app you want to see better.

Jul 18th 2008 9:36AM Thanks for the info. This looks like a good start, but now I need to run off to work on my white-text-over-kittens killer app. :-)
Nanosolar solar film rolls off the presses at 100 feet-per-minute {Engadget}
Jun 19th 2008 9:57AM Their website says 14% efficiency, which if I recall (admittedly not watching solar tech religiously) is pretty much in-line with other commercial solar panels.
AOL password problems {Download Squad}
May 9th 2007 12:23PM This is more common than people would like to think. Solaris (at least as of version 9) does the same thing. It lets you create a long password, but you only have to type in the first 8 characters of it to log in.
I don't know if this is still the case in sol 10, or other flavors of unix/linux.
Online music stores tie up your money, Why? {Download Squad}
Mar 8th 2007 10:46AM This is a common practice at restaurants too. When the waiter runs your credit card, it puts a hold for I think 20-25% more than the cost of the meal to account for tip. When they actually run the slip with the real tip written in, it all clears up, just like with the music store.
