Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime squashes Wii HD rumors... again {Engadget HD}

Nov 7th 2009 12:58PM Yes, because we all know that graphics > gameplay. Jesus, you people sound like a bunch of spoiled, whiny brats. Seriously.

Netflix streaming purportedly hitting Nintendo's Wii next {Engadget HD}

Oct 28th 2009 9:08PM Okay, so it won't be in HD. So what? This service is all about convenience more than anything else. If you are oh-so-uptight about HD, then rent the Blu-ray version and (horrors!!) wait for it to show up in your mailbox or go out and buy one of the other methods of streaming HD signals.

I guess I shouldn't expect much when people care so much about how they **look** wearing 3D glasses in the privacy of their own home.

$15 buys the U.K. theatre experience in HD right on your PC {Engadget HD}

Oct 28th 2009 7:51AM Eh?? Did you read somewhere that it's not? Even their registration allows for the US and its territories. I saw nothing on their site saying that it's restricted to the UK.

Hitachi exhibits 10-inch glasses-free 3D display {Engadget HD}

Oct 21st 2009 1:32AM Oh, my GOD!! I am **SO** fed up with people bitching about looking like dorks! WTF are you doing looking at each other anyway, and why the HELL do you care what you look likein the privacy of your own home!

Get a freaking grip and knock it off with the damned ego!

{/rant against ridiculous snobbery}

Netflix, Best Buy deal brings Watch Instantly streaming to even cheaper Blu-ray players {Engadget HD}

Oct 21st 2009 1:29AM I have an Insignia MP3 player and an Insignia 19" tube TV, both of which have been running just fine for more than two years. Only now, after almost daily use, has the MP3 player started to show that the battery isn't holding a charge like it should.

When it comes to getting a basic BD player for the wife and kids who will probably never have use for profile 2.0 but *will* be able to use our Netflix account, that $150 box will work beautifully. So, I'm not fearing this purchase like others are -- or is it brand-name snobbery that's keeping them from buying it?

Patriot's $130 Box Office 1080p media player streams on the cheap {Engadget}

Oct 18th 2009 11:36AM The gigabit, yes, I agree. But just get one of those external, 2.5/3.5" SATA hard drive bases and connect it via USB or eSATA. Pop the drive in the base, copy the files over, take the drive out and put it in the Patriot media streamer. They're at most $50 on NewEgg. Hell, I've seen them that price at Best Buy!

Hitachi exhibits 10-inch glasses-free 3D display {Engadget HD}

Oct 17th 2009 8:44PM WTF? Peripheral vision?! You're SUPPOSED to look straight ahead at the SCREEN! That's it! Unless your face it about six inches away from the screen, what possible purpose can you have for peripheral vision when you're supposed to be watching a movie on the screen right in front of you?

Are you anti-glasses people so desperate to hate these glasses that you'll come up with ridiculous "problems" like that?

Hitachi exhibits 10-inch glasses-free 3D display {Engadget HD}

Oct 17th 2009 6:57PM I just can't get over the fact that people bitch about having to wear glasses to view 3D. If they're wireless glasses and they're lightweight, after a few moments you won't even notice that they're on. Just like wearing a hat -- when it's on for a while you forget that it's there.

And then they complain about what they look like with them on. Why the hell is that even an issue in your own home?!

Giveaway: Win one of ten very special pink Nyko Kamas for Wii! {Engadget}

Oct 17th 2009 1:15PM Oh, hell. Why not? I'll let my wife have them for the kids' Wii.

Hitachi exhibits 10-inch glasses-free 3D display {Engadget HD}

Oct 17th 2009 11:29AM Wow. First, people criticize the need to wear the glasses, now they're criticizing the screen size.
