Zune breaks 2 million sold, stealing market from Creative not Apple {Engadget}
May 10th 2008 7:42PM Yeah, but does Microsoft *still* give money to Universal music for every Zune sold out of the arrogant assumption that all Zunes will be used for pirated music? All of my music is either from my own purchased CDs or purchased from Amazon. So, I despise that Microsoft is giving Universal Music money on my "behalf".

May 10th 2008 1:34PM The fact that I got a low rank for pointing it out proves my point.

May 10th 2008 1:31PM "Is anyone suddenly having a nasty case of "I only want what I can't have" syndrome and regretting that they didn't order one of these bad boys a day or two ago?"
$400 for an 8 GB phone that locks me into AT&T's heavy-handed tactics? Er... No, I'm not regretting a damned thing, thankyouverymuch. Hey, you asked the question.

AMD's Phenom X4 9850 gets pitted against Intel's Core 2 Quad Q9300 {Engadget}
Apr 10th 2008 12:27AM And if the AMD CPU does exactly what he wants it to do, that 6/10 doesn't mean shit. For all you know, 5/10 is exactly what he would use, so anything over that is diminishing returns.
I really wish you people would stop looking at the raw numbers and just let people decide for themselves whether a particular CPU is the right value or not.
Buying an HDTV: Get the latest or Save on 2007? {Engadget HD}
Apr 8th 2008 7:45PM My 47" LG LCD TV does everything that I need from an HDTV and more. Spare us the platitudes of which one is best and what's "as good as it can ever get."
What's best for each consumer is up to each consumer to decide, thankyouverymuch, Mr. Plasma Fanboy(TM).
Wareham, Massachusetts gets Verizon's FiOS TV {Engadget HD}
Apr 6th 2008 6:53PM Not necessarily. Verizon is trying to switch to IPTV, if they haven't started already, where you send a signal to the local switching office with the channel you want and they'll then send ONLY that channel to your box. So, your bandwidth will only be taken up by a single channel instead of a bazillion channels, like is what's currently happening to Scamcast.
Hannah Montana makes a 3D first on Blu-ray {Engadget HD}
Apr 5th 2008 6:44PM I'm pretty sure that he was hoping that red/blue anaglyph was NOT the expected method because a lot of people have problems seeing 3D with that and not getting headaches afterwards. Fortunately, I don't have a problem with red/blue 3D effects, but I'd much rather see IMAX LCD-style 3D.
