More pics of the new Mustang FR500CJ Cobra Jet {Autoblog}

Oct 7th 2008 12:47PM Look folks this car is built to NHRA specs for Stock Eliminator class. It's not a street car.

It had to approved by the NHRA and that's why it's a detuned supercharged 5.4 with 400 HP and not the 500 HP Shelby engine.

You people need to read more and bitch less.

Oct 4th 2008 9:30AM The model year is determined by Federal law. Any new model introduced after Jan 1 MUST be designated as being the following year.

The Camaro won't be actually sold until early 2009 which then means it has to be designated as a 2010.

Oct 3rd 2008 9:45AM "Search, annotation, and highlighting capabilities
The Reader Digital Book features annotation, highlighting, and search applications that heighten your reading experience. You can easily make annotations in your digital book with the virtual keyboard or highlight text you want to remember by selecting it with a stylus pen or with the touch of your finger. You can even search for text on your Reader with the virtual keyboard or by highlighting text."

Sep 26th 2008 4:11PM Nice idea, but what about the 240 million gasoline fueled cars on the roads now? Think they are just going to disappear overnight?

US sales are about 16 million cars a year. So even if a 100% switch was tomorrow, in ten years there would still be 80+ million fossil fuel cars.

No matter what we do it will 20-40 years before the effects start to take hold.

Grassroots Motorsports $2008 Challenge headed to Florida {Autoblog}

Sep 23rd 2008 7:44PM "Free" isn't allowed.

Parts that are given to the competitor by a company or person must be figured into the budget at fair market value. Nor can parts be stripped and sold for a total more than the purchase price of the car.

They've been doing it long enough to close the loopholes.

A local group won a few years back with a V8 Miata.

Breaking: Dodge EV sports car, range-extended Town & Country, Wrangler previewed {Autoblog}

Sep 23rd 2008 10:19AM Nothing to do with Chrysler.

Development of models with a max of 20-30K unit per year sales is not what they need. I see all the auto manufactures, foreign and domestic, using these for nothing but PR campaigns.

But "First to market an EV" will make a nice epithet.

Sep 23rd 2008 9:27AM Sorry, but if the big 3 (or anybody) think $40K+ plug-ins are going to save their butts, they might as well start the shut downs now.
