Jul 21st 2008 1:12AM shelley 5010FD is the 8th generation aka 8g of the non elite pioneer lineup the 1150 is the 8g elite edition, the PDP 5000ex is an older model i belive it was one of the first few 1080p models, 4gs? god no! for that price you can get a 9g Pioneer Elite PRO-111FD ......

crap i just wrote alot :( this model is 100% pioneer in house production and the 10g (next years) model will be panasonic / pioneer merge. i recomend you to go to avs forums dot i have a 42px75u panasonic but will be upgrading to a pro-111FD 9g pioneer elite as i want 100% in house production from pioneer . :D ask any question away i'll answer :

Jun 12th 2008 6:00AM This is signiture series, it is in no way to compare pioneers top notch plasma performance, this is for those custom instalers that have $$$
This is the exact version of the 2nd gen aka 9g pioneer kuro plasma with the exception of barebone thing screen only, oh and it was hand picked by oopma loompa to meet willy wonka specs (joke though about the willy really its about QA being more strict)
and fianly this is the last batch (9g seriee not just this expensive panel) of pioneer in house production, by 10g pioneer will have panasonic glass/panel and will be on specs to pioneer's standards.
i own a 42px75u and will be getting the PRO-111FD it will be around 4gs i'd say (street price not msrp) and its 50" full 1080p elite pioneer, for those lcd fanboy's and uneducated people walk away.

May 22nd 2008 6:52PM lcd wins because alot of customers are uneducated and sales associates scare the crap out of them with fake info to get the sales
plasma is better in every perspective its hardly a factor for a lcd moniter to be good for a tv viewing.... it was design solely for text and graphficing... so pc and that it .....
lcd needs an edge to get to plasma by using alot of add ons .. look at samsung 81 series
and on top of everything lcd is more expensive ! *

no upfront cost i cant belive peoplare in still under the cave
satelite is the second best choice (fios if avaiable?) NEVER IN LIFE i'll go to cable service its sucks balls
in my area i cannot get dsl or fios which is the ONLY reason i have cable internet , yet i perfer to pay $24 for cable internet and 40 for directv when i could of payed $20 for cable tv and internet but why i didnt? cable is garbage period, today out of nowhere i was playing a an important online mission with friends on xbl and out of nowhere i see my connection lost and all that time spent and im like F******* i rush to call charter and they give me a st*pid storys with no solutions but to wait ... 4-5 hrs later service is up lagy and dropping consitnly and what do i get? nothing just a kick in the back and sorry
