iPhone 2.0 firmware will ship in early July, touch users pay $9.95 {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jun 10th 2008 8:47AM I wasn't until now that the iPhone became the better deal. I've been holding off for the iPhone on T-Mobile (locked into contract) and iPod Touch has been good to me. One thing worth noting here is that the iPod Touch and the iPhone 1.0 are the first of their kind to get updated firmware beyond their version. In the past, the 2.0 would make all 1.x versions obsolete, and we'd just chalk it up to Apple's grand scheme. For example, my iPod Color (4G) could easily handle video, but they made it obsolete by only featuring video in the 5G. Anyway, I'm off to find someone selling their iPhone 1.0 for a steal.

The 5: Worst infomercial fitness products EVER {That's Fit}

Nov 14th 2007 7:43AM It sounds like some of these may be useful in rehabilitation scenarios, but not as a workout routine. What's truly sad about some of these (Thigh Master in mind) is that so many people were fooled into buying these in hopes that it would move them from sedentary to the next level of fitness. One I can't get out of my mind, is Tony Little's Gazelle. If this doesn't look like some sort of torture device, I don't know what does.

The safest cars for your family {That's Fit}

Oct 16th 2007 9:00AM I'm surprised Volvo didn't even make the list. I've always thought of them as the safest, which was my way of justifying their price point.

Sep 13th 2007 4:00PM I'm having a hard time not thinking that eating meat actually removes this gas as well as the whole cow.

What's the big deal about spring water? {That's Fit}

Aug 30th 2007 3:56PM I've got a water softener and undersink filter, and I find that to be my favorite water. I don't not drink water, but I can definitely taste the difference between my water and regular tap. What's the difference you might ask? Water shouldn't 'taste' at all, it should just be refreshing and hydrating. I definitely agree that bottled water isn't worth the convenience or price when considering what hauling it around is costing our environment. Anyway, enough blabber. I like my soft filtered water. :)

Hackers discover how to download streaming movies from Netflix {TV Squad}

Aug 7th 2007 9:04AM I'm not against DRM, but I do think Netflix needs to provide options for those not running Internet Explorer and WMP. I use Firefox when I'm using Windows and I mostly use Mac. I was very disappointed with this limitation.

Fitness and food go hand in hand at the gym {That's Fit}

Aug 6th 2007 10:07PM I watch Food Network at home and other stuff at the gym. I've tried watching the Food Network at the gym and I found it just makes me hungry when normally I wouldn't be.

Wearing an iPod can be dangerous. Well, maybe. {That's Fit}

Jul 16th 2007 6:09PM I could have sworn I heard this story about a year ago and saw pictures to go with it. I'm glad you stated what most people don't.

Vista requires a NTSC tuner - UPDATE 1 {Engadget HD}

May 19th 2006 3:31PM I'm pretty sure Windows MCE has the same requirement. In fact, if you add a separate ATSC tuner, that may have its own NTSC, it still requires the separate card. I'm on board with the rest of you. Front Row with Backstage Pass!!
