PSA: Amazon 'buy 3 for 2' sale on select games this week {Joystiq}

Oct 14th 2009 7:24PM For our Wii this seems to be the list for me:
Punch Out
COD:WAW
Muramasa: The Demon Blade

AT&T gets with the program, offers unlimited calling to 'A-List' numbers {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 9th 2009 11:34AM @thrillho: from the AT&T alist website:
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-sales/promotion/a-list.jsp
"If your individual plan is 900+ minutes ($59.99 or over) per month, or your FamilyTalk plan is 1400+ minutes ($89.99 or over) per month, you'll be ready to add your A-List on September 20!"

All of these favs/alist/whatever programs are leveraged such that the avg customer sees little to no benefit given the minimum plan requirement. My wife and I are on the familytalk 550 plan (the cheapest one) and it works great for us, especially with rollover minutes. I think only power users and families with kids who have phones really benefit from these programs.

Update: Woman Pregnant With 12 Babies {ParentDish}

Aug 18th 2009 11:29AM "I would abort some of them to keep the others alive. And keep me sane."

Really? Sorry Billy and Jane, you don't have X other siblings because it would be too stressful for mommy.

If aborting X babies is required for any to have a significant chance of survival, that is different.

Exploding iPod blows up in Apple's face {Engadget}

Aug 3rd 2009 2:48PM Dropping an iPod on the ground is within the scope of a normal event. My expectation is that it should just break and that's it. No smoke coming from the device thank you very much. If by some miracle it survives, well happy day.

Aug 3rd 2009 2:24PM If you drop an iPod it will start to smoke...it's an enhancement help you find it! Genius!!

iTunes 8.2.1 brings Pre's music syncing capability to a halt (updated) {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 15th 2009 6:46PM What's the big deal? RIM has Media Sync, Nokia also has an in-house solution as lockstocked mentioned, and there's some 3rd party apps too. You can't plug your BB, Nokia, SE, or HTC device and have Apple iTune recognize it and do a sync. If I'm missing something lemme know, I'm a bit of a noob :).

New DirecTV TiVo HD still on schedule for this year {Engadget HD}

Apr 29th 2009 6:29PM I prefer the no live tv preview when going to List. Comes in handy when both tuners are recording something and I don't want to see the ending of a movie I'm recording where the robots take over the earth or when the game winning goal/run/point/etc shows up in that damn preview box. Preview box for the guide...yes. For the list/now playing...not so much.

Teens Who Skip Breakfast More Likely To Have Sex Earlier {ParentDish}

Feb 22nd 2009 2:35AM All of the "breakfast = no teen pregnancy, what the hell" responses...you did click on the actual news article on canada.com right? Did you read the conclusion stated by the researcher on both this blog post and the canada.com article? Heck did you read the entire blog post?
The skipping breakfast stat is just an indicator, the conclusion of the survey was not "eat breakfast and you won't get pregnant". It was that skipping breakfast is likely just one indicator of quality of family life.
I agree the entire study is a bit of a "what's the point of this study, duh". Of course more involved parenting will reduce teen pregnancy!
