Jul 1st 2008 10:26PM Akron might be better off using high speed data based wireless protocols such as WiMAX and LTE. If this requires waiting for Clearwire, Digital Bridge or another Telecom provider, so be it. WiMAX is just getting going this year and provide users way better coverage and usability.

Apr 9th 2007 9:04PM Bought a great cheap HD widescreen old fashioned CRT tube, so I can wait patiently for the good stuff. I want a TV with freakin lasers, or SED with thousands of electron beams, or super thin OLED. Worse case is I buy a good 50 inch plasma if these other technologies don't pan out.

Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), a group that consults for home-theater manufacturers and trains professional video calibrators, when it says that the most important aspect of picture quality is contrast ratio, the second-most important is color saturation, and the third is color accuracy. Though resolution may be the most talked-about spec these days, it comes in fourth on the ISF list, and after you sit watching five TVs lined up side by side, you understand why.
