Nov 23rd 2008 5:09PM NXE... good update... didn't match the REBIRTH of XBOX 360!! Yay us. mentallity. To hear MS... this thing would remake LIVE in an even better form. They promoted it as this big deal... Realistically it is just OK... Ideally I'd like IPTV functionality, ability to talk to at least 4 friends over Video chat with Vision camera, like originally promised. Less Ads if I'm paying for this premium service. Why not make it that if you complete a game you unlock a gamerpic or get 1000 gamerscore in a game you unlock a theme for free. Quicker loading of Windows Media Center... etc. Its a good update, but not great. LIVE is the best thing going in online cosoling, but I think the interface is not better than the blades... more clunky in ways. The in game guide with the "old" blades is very much improved though.

Good, best games (for me), best online, no question. Great overall gaming experience...
Now the bad... Get rid of ads for Gold LIVE members. Ho Hum Avatar NXE experience, that is more of an excuse to make money via Avatar shop (clothes) and necessity to download new themes. NXE really didn't bring much to the table except party system, Netflix, better guide in games, and game installs. Speaking of game installs, making the HD optional and proprietary was a bogus move. Sony owns MS in this whole proprietary move. Really ticks me off, the cost of the 360 drives... way, way too expensive. Sony actually way outdid MS in this respect, and with bluetooth headsets too.
Red Ring... had one. If this had been Nintendo... it would have perhaps bankrupted the company fixing them. Who can take a BILLION dollar hit, to fix their faulty gear... only MS. Not Sony or Nintendo could have withstood that hit. I'm luck only one RROD. But not much of a blip on my radar.
the good outweighs the bad... I just hope MS learns and gets away from the proprietary BS after this 360 gen.
Oh and hey, party system allows multi person chat... finally!! And how about at least 4 way video chat, like promised on the boxes of early Xbox LIVE Vision Cameras.

Nov 10th 2008 3:36PM If you want to charge me $30 for a game, and then $20 for the ending as DLC, fine by me. I only finish about 20% of my single player campaigns/games anyways. But don't expect me to play $40-$60 for a crippled game only to charge me $20 more down the line to finish it.
I think $30 for the primary game, and $20 for the ending would be plenty fine.
