Elitist? C'mon, there's definitely one side being elitist as all hell in this thread, and it's those folks who know that OBVIOUSLY their opinion is right about taste in games and OBVIOUSLY everyone that likes different types of games is just a bunch of stupid oafs that OMG LOVE TEH HALOZ when Halo is fighting just to stay relevant over here.
Besides, the Wii is selling in gobs anywhere, so I don't really see the point in regards to the Wii unless they're calling themselves artards as well.
In spite of their similarities the 360 and the PS3 each have very different strengths both in the features they flaunt and in the types of exclusive games they have. Personally I went for both because I want it all, but those who can't afford both pick the one that suits their tastes better, and let's not sit here and pretend that masterpieces like Bioshock and Mass Effect are directed at brainless oafs who don't know how to think, no matter how many times your countrymen blindly repeat it.

Mar 10th 2008 5:29PM I have $hit-tons of fun playing the games of this generation. Much more fun than I could have by spending that same amount of money on anything else. So, how exactly am I losing in this scenario? Because someone else gets rich by providing goods and services that I enjoy and get more than my money's worth out of?

Mar 10th 2008 5:26PM While I don't claim to be an expert on this kind of stuff by any means, even the most casual joystiq reader should understand by now that the majority of money in the videogame market comes from software.
The Wii has sold a ton of consoles, but their software sales are waaaaaaayyyyyyyy behind where the 360's are, so it makes sense that they will have made less money overall even if they've made more on the hardware.
Of course, the 1 year headstart didn't hurt either.

Mar 8th 2008 9:58PM Is it just me, or (outside of the hand to hand stuff) does this not look EXACTLY like Stranglehold?
Wish they would've had Matt Damon's likeness as the main character. I think most people who are fans of this series were introduced to it through the movies (not the books) and that would've helped the immersiveness a lot.
When they said they tried to capture Bourne's hand to hand combat style from the movies they weren't kidding, that part looks phenomenal and looks just like the movies.
