Apple "notebook" event is on, October 14th! {Engadget}

Oct 9th 2008 3:00PM Not that this would ever, ever, EVER happen, but I dream of a $600-ish netbook-type Macbook so I don't have to buy a Wind or something and try to cram OS X into it.

Oct 9th 2008 10:08AM I'm so happy - netbook manufacturers are starting to realize they can make them at least a little bit sexy and less Fisher-Price. I'm glad I didn't jump the gun and buy one yet - by the time I can _really_ afford one, they'll be looking great. Hopefully, anyway.

Oct 8th 2008 11:32AM At first I thought "Beat'n Groovy looks just like Pop'n Music -- why would anyone want to rip that off? Don't they know music games sell like crap here?" before I looked it up and realized that it's made by Koanmi and the closest North America is ever going to get to a real Pop'n release.

Oct 1st 2008 10:03AM I've been reserving full judgement on the song list until these come out. My slightly realistic hopes are for some Queen and Freezepop, and my completely unrealistic ones are for The Matches, Pompeii, Death Cab, or some SSTB-era Coheed.

Also, if you haven't heard Pompeii, do yourself a favour and check them out.

Sep 30th 2008 5:19PM Yeah, I think the easiest way for most people to read that is "Pee-Nass". The jokes pretty much write themselves.

Ubuntu up and running on Pandora {Engadget}

Sep 29th 2008 10:34AM I was very confused at first because I associate the word Pandora with the streaming service.

Sep 26th 2008 12:09AM Am I having difficulties today or is this song completely in Sim-gibberish? That freaks me out a lot.
