Dec 6th 2006 5:00PM I think one of the things that is forgotten is how quickly computer prices drop. Think about what $1000 buys you in terms of a computer. 500 GB hard drives can be purchased for $130 right now. In 2-3 years, an awesome media center pc will be available for under $500.
That is why I think media pcs are still the thing to beat for the future (unless DRM kills em).
