Jan 5th 2008 2:01PM I guess I'm spoiled. The theater 2 miles away has 2 DLP screens and another theater about 7 miles away has one DLP.
I'll generally only see movies if they're digital now. Film is crap in comparison.
The experience is really great and it's what got me going to the theater again. For a while I'd only go to see a major film in the theater because the experience at home on DVD was so much better. With digital, it's like watching a Blu-Ray on the big screen. It's made seeing a movie in a theater an awesome experience again.
A 48" 1080p set and a Blu-Ray movie is very cool to watch, but seeing a film on a 50' screen with digital projection is way better.

Dec 6th 2007 10:56PM If you wanna rock, nothing beats the Shure E530/E500 headphones. They are not for the faint of heart @ $500 retail (I got a new pair for about $300 on eBay). They are simply stunning. The only complaint I have is they made me hate my iPod’s sound quality. Listening on my PC or through my receiver is a whole new world. Movies are phenomenal too.
Just a heads up, you have to break them in before they really shine. Out of the box they sound good, but break them in and they come to life. I hooked mine up to my PC, fired up iTunes at a medium volume, and then let them play from Friday afternoon until Monday morning. After that they were awesome.
I love the soft black foam sleeves too. They are great at sound isolation. Blocking out the outside world means you don’t have to turn up the volume as loud.

Dell's Latitude XT and XPS ONE make first public appearance {Engadget}
Nov 15th 2007 7:57AM The XT has been painfully slow coming. Dell has scattered the internets with promo videos since April or so (taking a saw to a competitor's tablet , etc.). Multitouch had been rumored and it's nice to see it confirmed.
The problem for many that were interested in it is that Dell said it was coming in March, dropped a few hints in the spring and they never mentioned it again. Many users have moved on and bought a Lenovo or Fujitsu, HP, or something they could get now.
The other issue is that now more than ever, there are rumors of an Apple announcement coming at the expo in January. I've been looking for a new tablet was very interested in the XT. Due to Dell's lack of info, my dislike of Vista (and Windows in general these days) I am holding off to see what Apple launches.
