Oct 19th 2009 11:10PM So why do you assume that only having 1 port means you can only connect 1 source? Don't most people use an av receiver today that supports multiple inputs then outputs to a single hdmi - which in this case could be this wireless device?

Jun 17th 2009 7:09PM Sure seems to me that Apple can say what they want in a document but when it came to a judge in court, they have some responsbility here seeing as how they have taken a 30% cut of the sale. Taking some of the profit but none of the responsibility/accountability won't hold up in a court of law.

Jun 12th 2009 4:39PM Sorry bout that last post guys... damn auto fill (but funny none the less!).
I STRONGLY suspect that what Apple is doing here - particularly with the significant slimming down of the OS X footprint - is prepping for upcoming devices like the rumored apple tablet and/or netbook type devices. Smaller footprint/storage/efficiency for 'lighter' devices (and I don't mean physically lighter per say...).
Don't be surprised (now they've announced that SL will be available in September) to see Jobs come back and announce the tablet (or something similar) to be available on or about the same time as SL ships.
Mark my words...

Minor VUDU update automatically selects YouTube HD when available {Engadget HD}
Jan 21st 2009 1:09AM I unplugged my vudu box when I noticed how much upstream bandwidth it was consuming on my bband connection EVEN WHEN I AM NOT USING IT AT ALL. My average upload usage went from around 1GB (download is in the 40GB normally) to over 45GB per month and that was for two months when I didn't even use the box!!!! Disconnected it and voila! Back to normal.

Nov 11th 2008 3:21PM I've been around the block with all the apps mentioned (particularly appreciated the link to the "switcher" article... man can I empathize!) and where I have landed for my situation is:
iPhone: ToDo (appigo)
Web: Toodledo (free)
Desktop: Outlook tasks with free Toodledo for Outlook sync utility
For anyone using Outlook on the desktop (like most of us in a corporate environment), the above setup is superb as you can have your tasks from Outlook to the web to the iphone always in sync.

Oct 2nd 2008 6:16PM I think your post has its logic all wrong... the fact that HDTVs are flying off shelves doesn't discount that DVDs aren't good enough - quite the opposite. DVDs NEED an HD set to do the DVD justice (due to standard NTSC resolution being less than even DVD resolution). HDTVs make DVDs look awesome for the average consumer.
Why there is little to no bluray demand on the desktop (or laptop) is very clear to me - what is *really* the point of all that 'extra' resolution on such a small screen (ie.- bluray makes a difference on a large HDTV but not a 17" or under laptop where even DVD's look great)?

For those of with iphones looking for a dock and having tried non iphone certified docks, you'll understand why this makes a BIG difference... (GSM buzzZZZZZZZZZZ...)
