One more massive Lexus LF-A leak, with specs {Autoblog}

Oct 21st 2009 3:06AM I am also unimpressed... If this is priced anywhere near $300k (going of European prices which have leaked) then I just dont understand what this car really has to offer. Yes, you can say that it is exclusive, but when you are driving down the street, how many people are going to turn their head to check out a Lexus? Maybe the pictures just don't do it justice, but it just looks to... Toyota, haha. So without the wow factor, what else does an exclusive car have? I don't see this having the same collector following that Ferrari/Porsche/Lambo etc have.

To me this is just another blunder on part of Toyota trying to spice-up their line up, the first being the IS-F, which in its own right is a very nice car, but when compared to the M3's, (R)S4's and the C63, most reviews that I have read show that it comes up short, and I think that when the reviews finally come out on the LF-A, its going to be very similar. "Nice car, sounds nice, handles nice, looks nice... but not Great".

And lastly, those of you who are talking about the reliability of this car being a selling point... don't understand what a super car is. These are not designed to be daily drivers, they are taken out on weekend and when you want to impress you buddies. Take a look at the average Ferrari/Lambo on sale used, and you will rarely see more than 4 - 5k put on the car a year (and that is still stretching it). Also, in case something does go wrong, I don't think that you will be able to just take this down to your local toyota dealership and get it worked on, just as with the GTR, you will have to take it to a specialist. And considering that they are only going to make 500... These specialists are going to be few and far between (Read: LA, NY, and a handful of other large market cities)

This is going to be purchased by those with too much money to care, and JDM fanboys who want to believe that the days of the Supra and SC300/400 have returned (Very few people mention the original SC's, but that is the last time I think Lexus had even a small FTD factor)

Honestly, I am more excited about the FT-86 than I am this car, and before anyone says its because I cant afford a LF-A (I can't, haha) I think that the FT-86 is Toyotas real chance at breaking into the fun car category, and that is a car that Toyota reliability will be a selling point.

Cadillac XTS looks like Sixteen Concept, ATS aims at 3 Series with RWD {Autoblog}

Rendered Speculation: More MINI Speedster sketches and speculation surfaces {Autoblog}

Apr 22nd 2009 7:30PM I hope this comes out looking something like the old Datsun 1600 Roadsters, I have always had a soft spot for those. And from that rendering I can see a resemblance.

Geneva Preview: Wiesmann MF4 convertible teased {Autoblog}

Feb 5th 2009 4:52PM This should be a clean looking vehicle, I wish they were using the 4.4 TT V8 that BMW is now putting in the X6, but I guess BMW wont let anyone else use that mill yet, haha.

Tesla one-make racing series: Nothing factory-backed, for now {Autoblog}

Feb 5th 2009 4:50PM Hahaha, I think that its great that there is a demand in the middle east for electric cars... I find the Irony almost too much to pass up, all the Oil sheiks are gunna be driving around in electric cars, loving their fast acceleration and whisper quiet operation... all the while the rest of the world is hoping that its going to be these types of technology that rids us of our reliance on the governments of these OPEC countries

Suzuki recalls 2005-2006 GSX-R1000 motorcycles over fracturing frames {Autoblog}

Feb 4th 2009 8:21PM This is a great thing for Suzuki to be doing. I think that its just a testament to the fact that Suzuki understands that if you are buying a GSXR 1000 there are only two reasons, one, you are an inexperienced and just want a liter bike (and you will find out why these bikes are called "widow makers" fairly quickly) or two, you plan on taking it to the track and/or stunting it. Although there is no excuse for performing wheelies, or taking this beast to its 180+mph top speed, on public roads, there are plenty of us weekend track who do that on the weekends at race tracks for fun. Good job Suzuki, keep this up and I know Ill be buying another bike from you in the near future, haha.

Tuner Tuesdays: Carlsson takes on the Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG {Autoblog}

Feb 3rd 2009 8:16PM Can someone out there tell me why someone would pay 355k for this, when for 150k less you can get the SL65? More torque, more HP, and you get a bi turbo V12... which I have had the honor of driving only once, and it was a magical experience. I haven't driven an of the 63's yet, but is their performance just that great that it would make me prefer this car over a stock 65?

Feb 1st 2009 1:29PM Sam, first let me commend you on commenting three times on one post, assuming that you are the same Sam from above. Second... let me tell you that you are a genius... imagine that the people posting on this site are Americans... I mean it is an American site, owned by an American company... but I still assumed that Americans wouldn't actually read it? I mean, Americans are all too stupid to read right? And even if we could read we wouldn't be able to see over our huge stomachs to even see the computer screen.

Sam, these cars would NOT work on American roads, not in the least. This little tike vs any SUV, or even a full sized car... you are gunna lose. And Sam, I have been a lot of places, Japan isn't one of them, so I don't know if this would work there, maybe it would, ill take your word for it. But Ill tell you this much, here in SAN FRANCISCO (that's right... I live in the city, and was born and raised here, I have never lived in the burbs, even though that's what you believe) this would still not work, if you live in the city you are going to take public transportation, if you are living in the burbs, then unless you were to drive this from your house to the bart station, then this wont have the range, and with a top speed of 30 mph you would be run off the roads outside of the city anyway.

Sam, please keep your ignorant anti-American comments to yourself, you cant blame us for bashing a product that wont work here in the country where we live. We aren't commenting on a Japanese based blog, we are sharing our opinions of what will work for us, and the majority of us are Americans. Oh, and one more thing Sam, I drive a motorcycle, not a gas guzzler, and its a Japanese Street Bike. Now, if you are done with your blanket racist statements, I think that we would all appreciate it.

Feb 1st 2009 1:30AM Haha, I dont think that I have ever seen something more pointless. 50 km range? 55 kmh top speed? and at the same time managing to be ugly as sin, and a death trap in an accident... for 10k you can get a lot of Used car... this is just retarded, I would rather take a golf cart, at least that way it can serve some real purpose. hahaha
